MG42 Early is really strong but it’s problem is ammo size with just 50 bullets you will be reloading more often than shooting i wish we would get extrended mags and bring it to BR5, however Jagdpanther is only useful against BR4 Soviet tanks, at BR5 you will get one shotted and you are extremely vulnerable against Panzerfausts 1-2 of them and you are dead from any angle.
It’s just that at top tier we only have crap automatic squads (STG45, Kiraly, Krieghoff FG, Gerat), i highly disagree that STG45 is fine no 450rof at BR5 is not fine it’s a BR3 weapon cosplaying as a BR5 AR, it can’t compete against any of the Soviets and American guns at that BR5 and even at BR4 it would lose vs strong semis.
There is one outliner that is Tunisian flametrooper squad that almost nobody has in their lineup since it got removed because it was so powerful (Americans also has one).
At low tier you also have garbage mp18, and subpar Lebel 1886 squad that is cool but their rifle is worse than BR1 rifles of any nation. So it’s not all perfect at low BR.
MP41 is pretty much the same average and mediocre gun as the MP40 but with 1% faster rof is it really worth paying who knows how much for that squad?
MG30 is just a MG13 clone but with higher dispersion and lower rof. It’s only worth it because you can have more than 3 of them inside your tiny squad. So it’s fine.
I use wz 1928 BAR squad since it’s a way better MG than MG34 when it comes to run and gun gameplay it let’s me flank enemies and capture points much easier.
Jagdpanther is not worth it anyway, you will get one shotted by Is-2, T-34-100 or Pershing or Panzerfaust or bombs. Only when fighting Americans that are not spawning in Pershing or P47 you have some breather from going back to the spawn screen.
Thats why you dont need also the best guns in game, as it is furthermore historically incorrect

If we’re speaking of premium squads sure. If TT equipment then no.
The so called ass-ymmetrical balance was thrown out of window long ago and what ever bits of it is left should be balanced out.
As example GE having better lmg and soviets better smg at low br’s doesnt exactly work out.
At low BR’s id say majority of heavylifting aka capping is done with the smg rather than LMG’s theyr usability is nowhere near comparable to each other.
Germany and Russia also field more prototypes in one team than were ever made. I say we call it even

For TT LMG’s yours is higher RoF and less recoil per individual bullet. Perfect for burst fire. Ours is a slow, chugging machine

Semis are exellent weapons. With axis I use the g43 because I love it. And it’s br4.
Gerät is in theory a sexier g43… but has very low damage, and HORRIBLE dispersion for a semi. It’s not worthy of something br5.
If it’s fixed, I’ll use it all the time.
I play for fun… meta isn’t always needed for fun.

Fedorov MG is pretty much a better Fedorov AR so not really MG it doesn’t even slow you down like usual MGs. That squad is obviously p2w but nobody seem to care. DP100 fires too slow for my taste and recoil is atrocious MG42 Early can be used like a sniper rifle, but if you use it as mg then you will have issues with constant reloading due fast rof.
You are a meta slave but don’t know it yet, BAR is the best MG at BR3 bar none (pun not intended). It’s so good that i use it’s variants in two squads as Germany at BR3.
MG34 is just inferior and only good as as a defensive weapon, while BAR can be used to storm points quickly, go into flanking positions and react quickly to any situation. It also behaves much better vs overpowered and broken PPSh-41 box with bugged dispersion of 0.21.

Not like there’s really any other choice in BR III. However, in V it absolutely is not meta. The Johnson is just flat out more versatile with 3 firing modes instead of 2, and the M1919A6 is a belt fed instead of a 20 round mag. I still like using it in V matches just as much as the M1919A6
