Final thoughts to think about compared to the Rank III Panzer IV’s

P.40 side and rear armour is 40-45mm thick compared to Panzer IV’s 30mm sides and 20mm thick rear. Whilst the Panzer IV’s are vunerable to anti tank rifles (early tier weapons) from the sides and rear, the P.40 is immune to them.

You can argue that P.40’s 50mm at 45 degrees frontal armour is definitely better than the flat 50mm on Pz.IV F.2 and onpar with the 80mm Panzer IV G which still has the 50mm driver hatch weakspot.

Whilst the P.40 does have worse performing gun, it can still compete since its HEAT is a lot better than Panzer IV’s trashy 80mm pen HEAT.

Panzer IV’s higher velocity and better penetrating APCBC has 29g TNT equivalent filler inside. P.40’s weaker APCBC features 270g of explosive filler. So if you meet a tank the APCBC round can pen, its going to nuke it far better than the Pz.IV’s APCBC round.

In terms of small arms, italy is well represented. However in tank and plane options, they are under-represented in Enlisted’s axis tree. P.40 will provide more italian tank presence.
