The British and Italian armies were integrated into the US and German factions, resulting in the loss of their distinct identity. To restore this uniqueness, I propose adding a nation selection feature to the enlistment window, allowing players to choose the soldier’s nationality.
The same approach should be applied to the US and British forces. Despite sharing voice lines, their facial customisation is different.
This feature has a good scalability, allowing for the seamless integration of additional forces, such as the French, in the future.
Moreover, each nation should have its specialized squads across all available roles. For instance, British and Italian sniper squads, US and Italian mortar squads, etc.

Overall, adding separate Italian and British nations in the game is a good idea. But it would also require adding BR 6 because currently we have equipment on BR 1 that would fit on BR 2 if there were 6 of them, or on BR 1.7. Spreading the current equipment into 6 levels would allow for a better balance in MM and the creation of BR 1 with pre-war designs such as Pz1, L6 or TK-3, as well as Vikers (7TP) tanks with two turrets armed with machine guns.

They don’t, actually. British and US have their own distinct accents and lines
But yes add a toggle button in the menu when buying soldiers

I disagree. Unless we somehow get dozens of new players it would be impossible to add new nations. The devs are already afraid of adding 1 new matchmaking queue because it would split the playerbase more. What do you think would happen if they would add 2 more nations?

More versatility in creating lineups, since you can mixing up those nations.
Yeah but I find it weird to see British island hopping in the Pacific.
Also separate nations encourages that you use more variety. The metas for British and Americans would be different
Literally nobody who wants to play meta stuff will ever touch Italian/British in the first place.
I don’t see any good reason why to create more factions and split playerbase between them. I would rather see more MM queues.
I really do jot understand this obsession about new factions.

why would you find that wierd? Commonwealth fought alot in the pacific. Since Aussies are only event/premium I suppose we have to be content with the tag British/Commonwealth (at least the weaponry is consistant)
"during the Second World War the Australian Army reached a strength of 540,000 soldiers, and throughout the war 735,781 Australians spent some time in the army.5 The Air Force reached a strength of 180,000, with 48 squadrons. From a population of about 7 million, about 1 million Australians, or one in seven, were in uniform during the war. By the beginning of 1943 the entire Australian Army was serving in the Pacific theatre, because, of course, Australia itself was located in the Pacific theatre.
By way of comparison, on the outbreak of the Pacific War the United States had a population of 141 million. By April 1945 the US Army had 1.45 million soldiers deployed in the Pacific and the China-Burma-India theatres. Certainly the United States had about a further 4.5 million soldiers in other theatres, as well as huge naval and air forces. But on simple statistics the United States had a population twenty times that of Australia, but the US Army in the Pacific was about three times the size of theAustralianArmy."
And then theres The British contribution of 1 million troops (mostly India)
“Britain provided a larger proportion of the air forces. In December 1943, for example, Air Command South East Asia had an effective strength of 67 squadrons. Of these, 44 were from the Royal Air Force, nineteen from the USAAF, two from the Royal Indian Air Force and one each fromthe Royal Canadian and Royal NetherlandsAir Forces.”

They should do what they do for Italians when they are on a map they never fought historically and have them turn into Australian troops on Pacific.

Well that’s why I specifically said “island hopping.” I’m aware that the British fought in places such as Burma.
I think a lot of people just really want to use more Italian and British equipment. I hope the devs adopt a system that groups multiple nations into a single faction, similar to the subtree system I suggested. That way matchmaking isn’t further split up.
