I don’t remember the exact name for the axis rifle but it looks like the STG so I’m going with it. Personally I find the AVT much better but hear most people say the STG is better.

Didn’t think the weapons differentiated based on the campaign. I play Stalingrad so lets go with that
Personally I prefer the MP43 over the AVT 40. Both are solid but I find the MP43 has a perfect mix of magazine size, damage and rate of fire to fit every location pretty well
AVT doesn’t even need the automatic function. One shot down, great range, good size mag, very good sights. Just can’t find a downside to it. Only reason I like it more than the rest is because it’s range makes it a great weapon anywhere.
Typically I run the AVT in semi. Its just an improved SVT 40 which is also great. Both are good weapons
def avt-40 over mkb. and ya mp43 is a completely different gun compared to mkb 
. but generally its like mkb is ease of use ( low recoil and alot of ammo ) but a trade off in exchange for dps/accuracy while the avt-40 is a monster gun but more room for error. with vertical recoil perk the avt-40s recoil is really manageable in full auto too. in cqb avt is an absolute beast even without perks
Ya, if you don’t miss with it, then you’re unstoppable. Most satisfying gun to use imo
ya avt-40 is so good u can even fire it while walking towards mobs of enemies and live in stalingrad most of the time

Haven’t used the MKB much, but if its anything like the MP43 in Normandy then I prefer the AVT. You can semi auto tap enemies at decent distances but if you need to you can go full auto and get nasty with it up close.
Absolutlr love the Avt. I tend to use it auto and aim low centre mass, it fires a small burst that walks up thr body and usually gets then in a perfect 3rd burst.
One of my favorite guns to use.
15 rounds is plenty for a 2 shot kill rifle.

It’s an insta down if you hit them once in center mass, why fire 3 rounds into them .
You can’t hit anything in full auto AVT only semi is usable, while STG you can hit people 95% of the time in bursts (semi is 100% accurate) and 75% in full auto. Honestly Fedorov is more comparable to STGs, harder hitting but with worse recoil, slower muzzle velocity and smaller mag. AVT is inferior to both and are only useful at very close distance where your drunk bobbling weapon doesn’t matter.

Sometimes yes but other times the game loves to hit marker and hit reg issues, so a burst is preferred, by me at least.
Based on my experience in Berlin:
Mp43 and StG44 are pure wheelchairs for the disabled. Even children in kindergartens can have complete control. In contrast, the higher recoil of AVT makes it difficult to launch at high speed. When facing distant targets, it must shoot accurately, and it is impossible to press and hold the mouse as easily as STG.
But I think in Stalingrad, AVT is a good gun

Uh, full auto AVT is very usable. That’s literally just you not knowing how to use it properly.
