AVT 40-Why even use it?

Just finished my Soviet Berlin grind and well…cant say I’m impressed. Cant really see any advantage to use the AVT 40 over the AVS 36. Seems the recoil is equally bad and even has more vertical recoil. They both use the same size magazine of 15 rounds…guess I’ll stick with the SVT 40s still lulz

The reasons why AVT 40 is better than AVS 36.
1.AVT 40 have 40 in name.
2.AVT 40 not have S but have T.
3.AVT 40 have new skin.

you use it if you get bored press H (or in my case X) to switch to automatic fire with avs36

Actually I think it comes on auto lol so I have to actually switch it back to semi

The devs realised that they are the same gun. So they fixed it by giving the AVT an additional spare magazine :sunglasses: :+1:

I actually found a real advantage! (Or a bug?) It carries 90 rounds vs the AVS with 60. Large ammo bag of course. This sounds like a bug to me

Yes its only advantage is the 1 extra magazine you get with it.

why would you use the AVS36 when there is SVT40? That is correct. There is no reason

Also because I have piles of AVT.
Things like Beretta (Moscow) is the real downgrade weapons. I stopped using it after a few matches.

The AVT-40 is everything except controllable on full auto, its not even in the top 10 best guns in the game…

avs can be fun if you have vertical perk and if the gun has 5 star and more, but ofc fine tuned gun aint mandatory

You do realise that other people have a life outside of enlisted? Right?

The new perk system made it really hard to get the perks you want, especially for f2p players.

I also have -40% vertical recoil on all my assaulters, not some other useless classes.

I only use AVT-40s for my soldiers on the assaulter squads that don’t use PPSh or DPM. AVT is much better than SVT in CQB while at ranges, can just switch to semi auto turns into an SVT with a larger magazine capacity.

Real men don’t need recoil perks! Just use the points for something more useful like the chance of getting down instead of getting killed and the reload perk.

First of all bro is playing on a console in 2021, its not 1980s anymore. Console players are basically bots with extra steps.

Second of all using engineers for head on combat? I see the root issue, instead of building rallypoints and ammoboxes for your team you are too busy using aim assist to snap and kill players while sitting in a bush.

Third of all troopres are a filler class for every nation except germany because they can for some reason equip troopers with the FG-42.
