AVT-40 ,Fedorov and KV-1 in Moscow when?

That is a different and far better question, given the current performance, its only going to affect hard the panzer 2 and maybe the 37mm panzer 3.

It does have weak spots you know?, Also is kind of a tiger situation in Berlin. Maybe it is hard, but not impossible.

Historically, yes. And while I’m all for more historical accuracy, it’s worth acknowledging when that would lead to imbalances that would negatively impact gameplay.

If one side gets autorifles for all infantry, the other side is at an inarguable disadvantage. Wouldn’t be as big a problem if we still had closed alpha reliability/jam mechanics.

If we want full historical accuracy, the AVS/AVT should be rifelman weapons, but be horribly unreliable, same with the G41, and slightly less so the G43. The MKB42(h) should be an infantry weapon, but incredibly restricted because of the low numbers of prototypes dropped into the Kholm Pocket (their only use in the moscow campaign.) The PPSh 41 and MP40 should be infantry weapons, ETC. There’s a fine line to walk between history and balance.

And another problem with the Autorifles I just though of: They’re unlocked with rifle squads. How do you balance those engineer/radio squads?
Also, adding jams would be nice.

I’ve never understood why every new squad has to come with a new weapon. It’s nonsense.

Frontline infantry should come with a campaign appropriate infantry rifle. M91/30, K98k, (normandy is weird with their m1903, could have just used the Lee No. 4), etc. Back line and support troops should unlock second-line or alternate standard weapons, like the 1895 winchester. Assault squads are fine unlocking SMGs/Shotguns, I’d add autorifles to their list.

A kv would affect every current german tank in this campaign. Only the 3J could pen if it’s completely unangled. The rest would have no chance.

In berlin, the soviet 85mms have no problem penning the tigers at close range. Tell me, where would you pen a kv1 with panzer 4 AP?

To make them interesting. Tbh, I could care less about the squads if I didn’t get a gun with them.

Actually, no, it’s too strong. The no4 mk1 is one of the best non select-fire rifles in this game.

That might actually make them too op. Noone would bother with any other squad then. You could just have PPSH andd AVT for every soldier.

But…

Idk, give Germans some upgunned Marder or buildable 88, or something else better not in tank tree… Germans will probably get assaulters mkb42h?

I want the KV…

Only because of RoF and capacity. My point was, the 1903 as a starter rifle for US in WW2 is pure nonsense, at least in Europe. Lee 4 was my only real suggestion for a bolt action replacement that makes historical sense, but you make a good point.

Not if they’re restricted to assaulters, you couldn’t, and at least for soviets, there’s already not a lot of reason to use other squads. 7 man assault squads loaded up with drum PPSh and AVS is allready too good. Restrict the AVS to assaulters, and you’re forcing a choice between the PPSh and AVS, and elminating full-squad autoweapon spam.

I’ll ask you a question: How useless do you want early german tanks to be?
I could care less about what the germans get to counter it, it’s not balancable with what’s availible early on.
Upgunned marder would already be justifiable now instead of the panzer3B, but I’m not sure if it’s historically feasible. And I don’t want another sturmgewehr as an assaulter weapon. The sniper mkb is fine, but please no more.

For the kv to work and not ruin half of the content in moscow, I’d need a new camapaign (check out The campaign "Battles for the Caucasus 42-43ā€ ) or a complete overhaul of the game.

Dual wield perk. It exists. You could run around with the perfect chad Ivan having PPSH for close range and AVS for mid-long range.

I don’t have an answer, it’s why I’m a bit discouraged. On one hand, man I love the KV and crave it.
On the other hand, it would be the jumbo fiasco all over again but in Moscow…

:pensive:

Warthunder. Try it. It’s a fun game (not) and the kv is stronk there.

Even worse actually.

The devs already told a few months ago that after a few tests, the KV will not be implemented in the game because it’s too powerful…

The problem with that is that all the units their are American thuse not having Enfield as the only US troops to use them were serving with the brits in Burma. On June 7th the 2nd Infantry Division landed on Omaha mainly equipped with the 1903A3 version

That’s the AKT-40, not the AVT-40. Had to double check as well

HERESY!
How DARE you say such an HORRIBLE thing!!!
We need the KV (and kv2 for laughs)

Just add these two and the game will be perfectly balanced.

Yes but KV op, where is my P-1000 Ratte :frowning:

My guess it that DF either planned to introduce Commonwealth Units too (They are already ingame but only as premium ones (Firefly and Churchill)) or needed Commonwealth guns to increase the grind for US forces like Ital Ital guns do it for the Germans.
