No, Tokarev was busy with his rifle at the time and was working with Degtyarev. This is what the 1934 Tokarev carbine looks like, but I don’t know what magazine it has.

RD 44 is a pure LMG. An AVS with 25 rounds is a BAR-like alternative. Perfect for BR III (especially against the KE-7, which may be a competitor in the future. . . . .)
