I feel like no one uses medic squads because no one pays attention that there is a medic in front of them and that most of the time the players using the medic squad use it just as another assaulter squad.
So my suggestion is that when a medic box is dropped, AI grab medkits when they pass by.
Also that when Medics are ordered to stay in a certain spot, they use their medic bags on passing squads. That way medics have more use and versatility. And so team players are more motivated to keep their squad alive to help the team rather than bomb rush and cycle squads again.
You’re healing lives in a game that treats soldiers like peanuts.
People wipe and get wiped all the time, and anyone can run a medkit build where they can self-heal 6-9HP per use with up to 4 medkits in their inventory.
Enlisted isn’t a milsim, nor does it play like one, where medics do occupy an important niche.
Any supposed rework for medics necessitate an entire rework of the kill/down mechanics that are frankly too complex for the devs to implement in a meaningful way.
good idea. medics are overall weak and have extremely strong competing alternatives (eg Assaulter 4). making healing automated will increase their usefulness and fun to use (passively getting healing assists while you run around doing other things similar to getting engineer assists over the course of the game).
