This was asked for before, but when merge happens, the best allied planes are going to be the MkV VC spits currently, but they were not used in Normandy as outdated by then, we need a later Mk version, I am not an expert someone will know which one to include.
I really don’t want to see old outdated spits desert camo, with air filter in Europe please.
To be honest when I first saw this event, I thought this was going to be a new fighter vs bomber wave event, with tailgunners useable, fighters to defend and attack bombers (I know WT does this), also thought we would see bullet holes in wings and cockpits too - I know my expectations were set way too high at this time.
-No CAS Armament
-Mostly inconsistent guns
-Inferior canopy to almost every fighter in Normandy
-Only redeeming quality is being somewhat good at turning, negated by the lead indicator making reversing practically impossible.
-Weaker damage model to just about every American plane
Yeah no, the American planes are just better in every way for the purposes of this game, and even if they do give us a Mark IX, it will only come with a single 250lb bomb so it is already inferior to most US aircraft in CAS, and it will have a pair of Mk II Hispanos with the 1919s so it won’t even have any real advantage over American planes in shooting down planes either, not to mention it’s weaker damage model means it can’t shoot down as many bombers before succumbing to the 20mms on them.
