Squad engineer has access to ‘+50% building speed’ perk, 14 mobility points cost.
How many mobility points does this guy get at lvl5? That’s right, 13.

Obviously not every single guy can have access to all perks. It’s so terrible hilarious that non engineer squad cannot build things 50% faster. What a great problem.
This thing is free dont have too much expectation, all event squad are made for fun purpose not be competitive

Even premium squads are made for fun. Well used to. Still use Chauchat squad. Because I can. If I need to carry I ppsh41 with my other squads.
They just need engineers in all.

At least they actually get an Engineer. No idea why the devs decided to not give the Type 99 Long squad an Engineer.

Engineers from previous event squads - bush boys in Normandy and SASmen in Tunisia - didn’t have any engineer-specific perks, but they did get 14 mobility at lvl5.
Devs listened to feedback about adding perks, they just reduced soldier points so you still can’t use that specific perk.
As I said, nicely done.
there is a difference between premium and event squad, wen they are released premium squad are good but once the game progress in development they become underpowered compared to their f2p brother or penalized by change in the game mechanics (and dev release new shiny premium for compensate)
Event squad are not supposed to give you any advantage or utility in the game Outside giving you fun or roleplay
But there shouldn’t be.
Ideally it should be as such:
- premium squad = event squad = regular unlock squad.
Only difference should be skins, or unique weaponry for novelty purpose. And that xp bonus for premium I always forget about. Premium should also use their own dedicated slots (cause premium)
That’s about it 
I would still prefer it over Japanese Premium Squad.
Even premium squad engineers don’t get +50% build speed perk (unless there are squads where its the default).
It’s normally only for vanilla engineers.
