So as someone who plays 99% of battles in planes, I want to appeal to all players that like myself prefer to enjoy the ride in the planes because we fcking had 90K to pay for our PPL license.
Joke aside I want to say to you or just the part of guys that will find themselves in this post “STOP CHASING BOMBERS WHEN THERE IS HEAVY COMBAT AND THOUGH SITUATION ON GROUND”
Like some of you guys see bombers and u just leave guys on the ground that fight with Infinity Wallet Warriors squads and tanks just so you could get extra points while my brothers on the ground WIN A GAME WITH 99% casualties. Here is a picture of the few that do this
I mean thats the primary reason to call bombers right? Takes a player, sometimes 2 away from the game for a few minutes
Its ok to take them down but not in the critical part of the game like defending the last two or last point while 7 full infantry squads with 9 soldiers each run to the point. If the game goes right like you see it takes time for them to reach point or take point little by little ok chase bombers I do that myself but don’t chase them if you see that they have taken point in 30 seconds and are already on the next point.
Even so, I rarely seen that bomber do some damage at all. The best case scenario I witnessed is that they took out 10 guys and that’s it.
No planes purpose is meant to dominate the sky and let FNG capitalize on those free extra easy points for their grind
true, but you waste your own team’s artillery for several minutes
I dont disagree, and im usually peeved when I that happens, esp on urban maps where air is already weak.
Just how it functionally works
As per the OP complaint, it has to do with strategic awareness of the players. You can tell by rally building who thinks the game is an FPS and who thinks the game is squad tactics shooter.
its heavily context dependent. if your teams rallies/apcs are in the open the bomber raid will fuck up all logistics for the next 5 min, so making sure they dont drop is essential, also if the objective is open.
obv most pilots dont think about that and just bumrush bombers for exp, but smart pilots know what to prioritize in the right moments.
When I need to score 20k in 2 days I’m going for the bombers - if that is a problem for you then learn to deal with it
ETA: Also I can kill a flight of bombers in a minute or 2, and then ALSO deliver ordnance to the ground - it is not either/or
if the score obtained by destroying the whole platton of bomber wasn’t that interesting after their drop it would change something.
Like full score before bombing and half when they’re empty
Most bomber waves I see lose 3-5 bombers before dropping - lots of people are getting all 5 kills before they drop, so yeah - we’d all be delighted getting even more points for that.
Point remains tho that intercepting bombers doesn’t usually take very long, and doesn’t stop people doing CAS before or after - so the OP’s problems are with individual players not being as good as some others… and that’s not just a problem for planes!!
I wasn’t saying we should get more score before bombing, It would be the actual score but after the bombing the score would be reduce to sensitive player is not that worth that keeping your job as air support / ground attack
Sadly we can’t do nothing about fighter attacking ground while the attacker allied plane is getting shot and so on
It’s a matter of incompetence from lot’s of pilots, you can’t save everyone but some are as blind that we don’t know how they don’t crash after 20s
If you give them those sweet XPs in gold in return, why not.
Give a player a large amount of points, forcing him to leave the battlefield for a period of time. Hey, sounds like bribery
The stupider thing is someone calling in bombers in the first place, wasting a TON of time that could be used on artillery or rockets. And, yes, just gives some easy points to the other team.
We have a celebrity here
I wouldn’t have said it better myself comrade
