AT Gunners Taking Forever To Level Up

Any tips to gain XP on the AT Gunner class? I unlocked AT Gunner 2 months ago and I’m only lvl 14. I start every match with it and play the squad every time it opens thereafter. I unlocked Assaulter 4 two weeks ago and I’m 100% through that one already (while still focusing on AT!). Seems the AT class it super slow to gain XP. Any tips or tricks to finish it out? I’m sick of playing AT haha.

Use the squad more often - make spawns and AT guns with it, etc

I use the squad every chance I get. Good point about the engineer though. I currently don’t have one. I’m going to swap out the assaulter now. TY

Just use any rifle with GL, guaranteed at least 5 kills per soldier without any effort whatsoever.

You need to put an engineer in every squad all the time from the very beginning- I (used to) buy that position for gold in every new squad so it would have one right from their first game!!

Some squads just have astronomical XP requirements, so they just take extremely long to XP through. But, some tips for such:

  • place an engineer in them, and build as much stuff as you can, especially on the defensive, basically passive income;
  • invest a little into mines (AT or AP) for the same reason;
  • grenade and GL spam;
  • camp with the AT gun (remember to keep the engi safe for refills);
  • if you can, hold out on BP to stack the boosters;
  • if you still only have 4 slots, put a vehicle and rider squad in, you can then two-squad cycle
  • just keep on grinding, you’ll get there someday;
  • (not recommended) use your IRL gold to buy Enlisted gold to buy levels.

As others have already stated, an engineer in any squad will level it up much more quickly. You’ll make the most xp by building rally points in good locations for every new cap point. But don’t stop there: Not very many people place ammo boxes on (and around) cap points. So if yours are the only ones available, then you have a monopoly. You can build three ammo boxes maximum. If you build a fourth, the first one you built will disappear. Scatter them around. I know this sounds like common sense, but I’ve seen many people build an ammo box right next to one that’s already there; same goes for rally points, and med boxes.

Some AT squads also have a slot for a medic. So if you drop med boxes on (and around) cap points as well, people will use them too. Healing wounded teammates will also give some additional XP.

Next, use your AT squad like an assault squad: Cap points and kill any enemy troops within—or around —cap points. This will yield more XP for you, and it goes hand in hand with my previous two suggestions. If you decide to do this, then using AP mines (temporarily) to place around cap points will also help.

Finally, instead of using grenade poaches, put large backpacks on everyone and use 3 med kits (to keep them alive longer) and one toolbox. Toolboxes can yield a decent amount of XP by fixing friendly tanks and APCs, and you can also heal friendly troops with your AT soldiers to gain additional XP.

I understand this isn’t the standard use for an AT squad, but it will level it much more quickly. Then you can go back to using it as a specialized squad for hunting tanks later on.

Good luck!

Build rallies and farm with AT guns “AT LOW BR 1-3” if you are stuck.

Depends which faction you are. Using semi Auto AT rifles at low BR is great for farming low BR tanks, planes and infantry.

Do what the others recommend, but I give you some unethical advice.

Died with the AT squad? Take a plane, kamikaze it. Take a small squad like radio squad and make a sucide charge. Now respawn in the original squad and repeat the cycle again after death.

Maximum time playing the squad should help you maximise the exp gain.

Only do this if you are either on clearly winning or clearly losing side of the match, otherwise the win bonus should be more meaningful.
