I had this experience while playing yesterday. I was on a SBD Dauntless and was doing CAS, then an enemy plane appeared there. I managed to chase the enemy plane with this aircraft, which was not suited for dogfights, and destroyed its engine with a machine gun, and it fell to the ground, spewing fire. I thought it was safe to go back to my original mission, so I stopped chasing the enemy plane and tried to return to the front line. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a friendly plane flying toward me. He fired a few machine gun shots at the downed aircraft. He got a KILL score and a high score, and I only got a small assist score…
I have come across this kind of thing many times while playing the game. I am sure you have experienced it too.
In this game, regardless of the damage inflicted on the enemy, the last person to hit the enemy gets the KILL score, and the rest get the ASSIST score. It reminded me of Battlefield 2 or Operation Flashpoint CWC. The score calculation for this game looks like a game from 20 years ago.
Before the official launch, why don’t we see if it is possible to get a kill score based on damage inflicted or parts destroyed?
Its very annoying when I shoot down an enemy plane in my plane then I only get an assist because some guy on the ground managed to hit the enemy plane once with a machine gun as it fell out of the sky.
Just keep shooting until the kill is credited to you in the killfeed.
Not until the enemy starts to burn and go down.
Somebody might steal your kill, by accident or on purpose.
I already tell you what it looks like:
-If you wound a soldier and someone kills him, you have a kill and he has an assist (but it’s the one who finished the kill that counts for the daily, weekly, etc).
-If you hurt an opponent and he heals and someone kills him, you will get an assist.
-If you graze or stun an enemy and another player kills them, you get an assist.
And when it comes to vehicles, it’s the last critical hit that counts. Which is to destroy the vehicle. That is:
-If you set fire to a tank and I blow it up with TNT, I’ll get a point for the destruction and you’ll get an assist.
-If you damage the plane and let it go because its condition is such that it will crash anyway, it is enough for me to hit it once after you and that will count me down, and you will get an assist.
For this reason, vehicles, especially planes, must be eliminated immediately if you play the match for points, not for winning.
Yes. What you are saying is correct in order to get the score.
Currently, you have to keep shooting until the kill log is flowing. I do that, and so does everyone else. That is the rule of the game.
That is what I would like to object to. Most of the time when I launch aircraft, it is when I want to provide firepower support to the ground team. I don’t want to waste my time by continuing to shoot at a neutralized enemy that is breathing fire, losing control, and losing altitude. I think it is wrong that we are creating a situation where we are forced to choose between getting the score and taking more advantage of the game.
