It would be nice to have some kind of “assault” order for our squads.
How I imagine it:
Chose the order from the command wheel. Now the default order (X button) placed on the ground no longer causes AI to move there but to assault this position.
During the assault, soldiers move and shoot. Soldiers with full auto weapons move and hipfire, the rest sprints for a few meters and stops to shoot (frog leaps). AI has greatly increased target detection vs targets in the assaulted area but has a heavy penalty for accuracy.
During the last 10-15m AI throws grenades to the area, even if there are no enemies inside (though targeting enemies should be prioritised). It would be great if AI could throw grenades through the windows etc (not 100% successfully of course) but I guess this may be hard to do.
If soldiers have bayonets, they charge through the remaining 10m and engage in melee. (Of course they wait for a while to not get killed by their own grenades.)
I guess it is super hard to do something like this. But it would be great.

there is a thing with ai and moving and shooting.
rather, there isn’t a single one that does that. not even new " aggressive " zombies which do have some sort of new behavior. they actively chase players and engage them ( albeit, only engage when stationary )
and i’m not sure why.

Well, I guess it’s high time to move the butt and implement this. Instead of the wind effects for example.
(Yes it’s made by a different team blah blah blah you get the point.)
I Just checked the series to be sure. And I found out there are some newer mobile games, lol. Obviously, I had no clue something like that even exists.
