I always opt for a backpack because having a soldier with two main guns is not immersive for me.
Id say that if you are going to use an AR for russia,use the federov instead of the AS44,fairly similar stats but one shot damage.if you had to choose between that and the ppsh,id say go for the federov,but if you are going to use a second assult squad take the ppsh
PPSh because it was the backbone of Red Army from 1941 till 1945, and ASs is fake as it was never used in WW2 combat.
I don’t plan to ever touch it.

Well 1974 is still in the cold war, but you could have at least found a picture with AK47 / AKM instead of Afghanistan war AK74…
IMO being less hyperspecialised is an upside lol. Sure, if you have tons of extra slots, bring an assaulter squad with the drum PPSh-41s for those few cases where the game is a massive slaughterfest in tight quarters. Otherwise universality is way more useful.
