Artillery Luger should be a sidearm

Its a cool gold order weapon don’t get me wrong but after acquiring it and learning its A) assaulter only and B) a primary weapon it feels very hard to justify its purchase even though I adore the gun. I think it should be a sidearm and no I don’t think it would be overpowered in the slightest I just think it’d have more of a use case and more players would be willing to buy it. Also it has a higher than average dispersion at distance which doesn’t make sense as the longer barrel was added to mitigate that, I also believe a dispersion buff would not shoots its performance into the stars either as it still only has pistol magnification and damage models whilst being semi-auto.

You’re not the first person to mention this, while I have no plans to acquire it myself, it does seem a little silly that it is a primary weapon.

It is the same size as many rifles and smgs in game so not really. They could make it equipable by other classes though.

Who cares ? Whales, memers and content creators will still buy it.

Bit of a bump in damage couldn’t hurt either, the barrel’s longer after all. I reckon 11.4 point blank would be appropriate. Also add full auto and a dandy red dot while at it.

this weapon could’ve been a great back up when you run out of ammunition for your primary, but noooooo make it a primary ASSAULTER only weapon im sure many ppl will use it.

i ve suggested it last season that if such weapon appear then it should have the ability to remove the stock and use it as sidearm

is it silly that it is primary weapon ? no … at least for the kriegsmarine or medics these weapons or just pistols were really given historically

it would look weird on the soldiers belt where pistol with stock enabled would be hangin as a sidearm

but they could do it like it should be and give it a proper animation where soldier puts pistol into stock itself that served as holster … but then community might complain it is long and anoying animation and devs effort would be in vain

anyway these pistols should be usable by everyone, not just assaulters
