Technically the A20’s load is only at 50% capacity since its a medium bomber.
what im saying though here is that the P-51C is carrying the lightest load it was ever equipped with and the A20 is around its mid range of ordnance it could carry… the P-51C is getting the shitty end of the stick while the A20 has a realistic bomb load
Personally, I have to agree with this for the most part, though I disagree with the first minute of battle point - this was generally when artillery got the most kills as it’s easiest to predict player movement within that first minute, when people are rushing to caps, or to established flanks. Restricting that first minute from Artillery strikes, combined with a limit on 1-2 artillery strikes at a time, was the nerf Artillery needed, in my opinion.
What wasn’t needed was the simultaneous nerf to Artillery damage, startup speed, and cooldown. This is classic Gaijin-style doubling down on nerfs instead of taking steps to nerf things bit by bit and see what the sweet spot is for balance.
Honestly instead of nerfing the BF109 they should have giving the P51 its two 250 lbs bombs. The BF109 was just such a good precision strike craft for jumbos and tanks etc, it was unfortunate the Americans didn’t have that adaptability in the P51 from the get go. They should have just not put the A20 or JU88 in game.

i still think they could have given the P-51C x2 500lb bombs since that’s technically 50% of its nominal capacity… if you give it 250’s it’d only be carrying 25% of what it can hold.
like the P-51C could hold at its max x2 1000lb bombs
Well true, but 2 500 pound bombs would be relatively unbalanced compared to a single 250kg bomb and would also still have a big bit of the crazy bomb drop we don’t like, it’s half of what the A20 carries.
the A20 was capably of carrying x4 1000lb bombs or x2 1900lb bombs or a single 4000lb bomb
the A20 is still going in pretty under armed for what it actually could hold
where as the P-51C is unrealistically under armed for what it could hold

Also just an FYI, artillery is a support item designed to block off routes to the zone. Not get kills.

We do not want the A20 carrying that much, even if we half the bomb load of the A20 and Ju88 as it is right now that would still be plenty.
