Maybe artillery fire should be removed from the game. but that won’t happen. it’s obvious.

Just think about it… what a lame tactic… we bombing out capture point continously with artillery,
we bomb our own men and the enemy as well… our men are not hurt, the enemy is destroyed
repeat repeat repeat… they win… but in reality there is no such thing as our own bombs destroy the enemy but not ours. this is ridiculous… someone just has to keep calling the artillery and the place is inaccessible but they can be there. something should be done about it, it’s not fair
I kinda enjoyed the time when your arty was lethal both to the enemy and your teammates as well, but it’s may not be the best solution. Amount of idiots/assholes who can intentionally use arty to kill teammates should never be underestimated and taking into account that morons who kill their own in “lone fighters” still exists and arent really banned… I’m not sure aboit it. Limiting the number of uses however that may work somehow.
There is literally a huge indicator on the map 40 seconds before arty hits, and even before the huge barrage, there is a warning shot in the middle.
Bots don’t respond to this
They do, they are literally made explicitly to stay out of the circle unless the player they are trying to follow runs into it.

Like most other features in Enlisted, it was implemented thoughtlessly. Still, that’s not a good enough reason to just as thoughtlessly remove or restrict it. This situation requires an intelligent approach. Unfortunately, in my experience Darkflow don’t do intelligent or high effort.
I guess OP wasn’t around in early times when potentially EVERY player in a match could call in artillery AT ONCE.
best solution:
1 artillery fire per match per artillery soldier, means 1 artillery per match per squad and 3 for artillery squad, but this will make the class not good so let artillery soldiers use submachine guns, so the class will be balanced and good at the same time we finish with the artillery spam.
also we need to remove artillery soldiers option from assault and lmg squads
Orrrrrr they can increase the playable map area by 2x and increase the size of the objective area 3 fold
This would lead to the artillery strikes to become less effective overall
They no longer do that and haven’t for a very long time lmao
CBT and early OBT they’d leave the circle and prone
Now they’ll loiter in it and die almost as if its on purpose

Just make it so that the allies DO get damage, let’s say 25% and done. The way as it is now it is a little unfair and unrealistic. If it were me, I’d remove the circle too, but hey, nobody cares, right?
Unfortunately, as long as we DO have people purposefully exploiting any loophole to deliberately inflict as much team damage as possible (and spamming multiple throwaway accounts, so banning them doesn’t stop them), this is a bad idea.
And, yes, we do have at least one such individual.
If the earned Points from Artillerie Strike would split to the whole Team, there wouldnt be so much.
Because Egoismn would lead the Radio-Operator to leave his Corner, to earn more XP.
Now you get most xp when you camp in Grey Zone.
Much Bigger Maps would be Solution too
For me, artillery is fine where it sits. You have not seen the terror it did back then.
There are games (including free ones) that have ff always on and they don’t have problems with too much teamkils. For example planetside 2.
If there is a will, there is a way.
