I once again ask to reduce the terrible dispersion mechanic.
Lol, most single fire weapon has way less dispersion than full auto weapon. How is it punishing player that use single fire aimed shots?
I don’t want to play a game like 17th century warfare where everyone shoots each other with single shot flintlock muskets
I agree with reducing the accuracy of the AI at long range, they do go a bit too far, I often get accurately hit by the AI from hundreds of meters away, which is actually very difficult for even the player to do, especially when I’m moving at high speeds
Fully automatics are not spam, they are fun, they are a trend in human warfare. For hundreds of years, countless countries have tried their best to equip their armies with more automated weapons, and countless small arms designers have worked hard to design more and better weapons. automatic weapons
they are great
i disagree with your title. I’m actually very accurate on semi-auto, but it punishes full auto spray and pray (as it very well should!)
They are spam, when its easier for someone to use it they will use it, It would realistically be more fun to have a variety of playstyle for everyone rather than smg spam, why I try different things, makes others laugh, but its what people do sadly. And I think it is unfair for the bots, not so much the player, bots cant react to a smg and just get wiped. Honestly if box magazines jammed like they did in the war it would be fair.
Bolt actions are far more superiour if you get first shot, after a bayonet stab, and repeat, I wipe squads doing this and they have 0 time to react with smgs, I shoot down planes with my rifle haha.
All weapons are affected by dispersion
All forms of RNG or luck based mechanics should be removed from any FPS
Not all.
If RNG can be countered with some form of skill (or action in general), imo it’s a normal part of the gameplay.
This is a game played by humans, not robots
Developers should improve their AI instead of solely blaming players for playing SMG
Its advantage is only at close range, and it is still difficult to compete with rifle grenades and flamethrowers at close range.
The bolt-action rifle has always maintained its dominance at long distances. It has high damage and high accuracy. You can easily kill players holding SMG at medium and long distances.
If you want to complain about the difficulty in fighting SMG at close range, is it unfair that SMG players should also complain about the inability to fight against bolt-action rifles at long range? Is it only fair that the accuracy of bolt-action rifles should be weakened?
You just used the wrong weapon at the wrong time
How can be something that is determined by chance, countered? Buy A premium squad with less dispersing guns?
No, dispersion means if you reach a certain skill ceiling - which is very low and easy to reach in this game - hitting your target will depend on RNG.
High firerate will even out RNG, missing 50% of your full auto shots consistently will result in a predictable shots to kill patern.
Missing 50% of your shots with semi auto rifles will result in your death.
A playstyle that is less forgiving should promote precision, instead of punishing you for not magdumping as fast as you can.
Examples:
-
When you reload you have a chance to get a longer reload animation. So you always expect to have it and you are prepared (you are in cover for example).
-
Weapon has sway when ADSed. But it can be countered by mounting or holding breath.
So if you play smart, you can completelly nullify it.
Tldr; if randomness can be beaten, it’s ok.
Dispersion has big impact and can’t be countered so it’s bad.
A 17th century musket war would be a good april fools event
Ever played mount and blade Napoleon? You better be good with your bayonet or sword, for when the musket misses (most of the time). Was fun
I just hate dispersion in this game, some SMG feels like using smoothbore
Good times…
I used the blunderbuss thing because it hardly needed aim!
Everyone felt and acted like a sir in this one. Sad it wasn’t known more by ppl.
Yeah I did event line battles in a community for a while. was alot of fun. Got pretty good at the Sword/bayonet dance. Took alot of practice and dueling but paid off in battle. Was hilarious being the Drummer boy and only breaking beat to put some guy to the sword when they thought they were getting an easy melee kill lol.
Loved dueling servers in mount and blades. Everyone was so respectful. To provoke and accept a duel, both parties had to “block up”, then “bow”
If a newcomer kid came and tried to mess duels up, the entire server ganged up on the kid, and just the kid.
The same company did an even more elaborate one like this, war of the roses. Sadly it was too complicated and difficult for most, and got shut down ages ago…
