To summarize.
Extremly long ranges to travel for spawns 4km+.
A lot of AA, i feel like those planes are dying like flies, almost 1-shots.
Starting payloads are meh.
Quite wide maps and lot of terrain for cover.
Seaplanes starting positions without timer, it looks cool but thats all.
Planes are pointless 90% of the time, the occasions of a enemy vehicle well positioned enough that no ally tank or AT gun can kill it is very rare to see so no point on spending 2 minutes on rearm runs to stop 2-3 squads (at best) and go away for time enough to 4+ squads go into the objective.
Update.
Planes in pacific are completly worthless.
They should update resuply points ASAP and half those distances.
This pisses me off really because it’s PACIFIC CAMPAIGN, i don’t mind planes and ships being very influential here…
Incentivize the players who landed to make them choose to land rather than kill themselves,
although the current game mechanics have nothing to motivate, as a missile rushing to the ground even saves time to bring more experience, the current mechanism is to encourage Suicide, so the question is why did they make an aircraft carrier to allow players to land and repair planes? What is the development team thinking?
You know that nothing like zero with 250kg + 60kg exists?
For sure we will achive same level with nerfed bombs and 60kg payloads as Normandy.
Why bother just remove them xD, i’m constantly jooking with other players in game chat about planes viability in Pacific.
For now…picking plane in Pacific is trolling, no matter if it’s fighter or attacker.
