Both Russian and German designs were notoriously unreliable. Especially once you got into the Big Cats. The first engine used in the T-34 if I’m remembering correctly was utter garbage. Sherman’s with 76’s could kill Panthers with relative ease (whereas in WT and Enlisted you have to aim for 2 pixel big spots or get lucky with a full broadside or get even more lucky with a mantlet shot) and Panther’s bounced off of the armor of Sherman’s a lot more than they do in game. Shoot Sherman’s could even penetrate Tiger II’s with enough rounds put down range. It sucks there is no deterioration or deformation of armor at all. If your round fails to pen then it just fails to do anything at all. You can’t shoot the same spot in hoping to penetrate the rest of the way or anything
And not to mention the biggest boons of all. The Sherman’s reliability and sheer numbers. Easy to maintain, easy to fix, easy to recover. Plus all the car manufacturers back home cranking them out by the boat load. There were always 5 Sherman’s. No less, no more. Unless one had gotten taken out, but it was replaced in short order anyways. Not something we really get to leverage in Enlisted nor WT. Hmm. Maybe repairing parts on a Sherman should take a significantly shorter amount of time than other tanks
