ALSO it seems the more I fight with a soldier the more he goes up in Rank or did I get Rank simply by lucking out on the Random soldier thing or by selecting a specific soldier by using a silver card thing …
I have as yet only sent 3 soldiers one time to the academy it seems I am getting Rank by fighting with them by maybe not ???
The abilities are the perks, your soldier has a rank and a level, the rank is the maximum level your soldier can have, here it is one.
Each time you level up (when your blue bar fills and a star becomes yellow) you can choose a new perk for your soldier. If you were already level max, you gain a point to change one of your perks.
To increase your soldier’s rank, you can send him to the academy with 2 others of the same rank when they are at max level for their rank or you can buy new one in logistics and pray it has a good rank.

After you get all the stars filled for your soldier you can play with him further and get retraining points. And then you use them to get other perks.
Ok so when I acquire a soldier via the random soldier thing via buying him with a silver card or via when I get a new squad each soldier will have a SPECIFIC RANK at that time AND the ONLY WAY to increase a soldiers rank is through the ACADEMY no matter how much I fight with this soldier they will NOT increase in Rank - Correct ???
