I have just been playing Stalingrad and it seems to me that all the semi-auto rifles are just pretty bad. The random bullet spread seems extremely high for them. This just me or are they just that bad
Yes
Yes semis are good, especially G43 in campaigns that have G43.
My opinion, and only my opinion, is that you should wait to form an impression until you’ve used one fully maxed out (4 or 5 stars, depending on weapon). The upgrades will do a lot to correct issues you might notice when you first start using a weapon. The soldier is a smaller part, but still can influence it through perks and your own ability.
Also, don’t play to the meta. Every weapon in Enlisted has an optimum engagement range and role; it’s the difference between having a hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. in your toolkit and only having a couple types of hammer.
You are building a combined arms toolkit with each squad, so that you’ll hopefully have something to handle every situation.
Ya, it’s just that everytime I’ve used a semi, the dispersion was so high. Never found a reason to use a semi over a BA
Lol, machine guns are so terrible. BA’s just seem overall better than semis to me
They’re good, just if you’re firing at range with them you have to actually aim every shot and not count on your aim recentering itself like other games.
semis are “only” good if fully upgraded. otherwise you might waste more bullets than needed.
but great for almost all ranges.
( gotta be honest though, i’m a bit biased on semis as i love them )
Well ever since the BA buff, semis just don’t feel as good as BA’s so I guess it comes down to personal preference.
BAs aren’t much good at close range
They are fine, depends on if you have good aim and get the shot off first. I never found much of an issue with close range.
Until there’s 2 guys in one room
Depends on positioning at that point. I always position myself in case that happens so I can give myself the possibility of winning the fight. Most times though, ya you are fucked. Gotta have a more careful approach with the BA
