Assuming that it is my favorite vehicle to use, there are some topics I would like to discuss:
-
Unless it is armed with bombs, the fighter is useless except for scoring points: in pre-merge Normandy using the BF109 (more than fw190) was essential in those games where there was a heavy presence of p38s and p47s, devastating ground attack vehicles, capable of destroying panthers and tigers. Now that the m8 rockets have been depowered, fewer and fewer players use p38s, and it is increasingly rare to have the skies saturated with planes. Not to mention the high-tier Soviet teams that practically never use aircrafts, partly because it makes no sense in urban contexts like Berlin and Stalingrad, partly because there is no comparison with the German counterpart (Yak-1 and La-7 apart).
-
Using figther takes away power from the ground forces without a real contribution except in rare cases: if in a 10v10 game two players from a team are constantly in the air, a difficult 8v10 situation arises on the ground, and given that the Game mechanics are based exclusively on numerical superiority on the points to defend/conquer, this makes the planes a disadvantage for the entire team if used improperly.

More tasks are needed for the planes: more tasks must be added for the pilots to be able to contribute more clearly to victory, such as in Normandy the task of destroying balloons during the attack, or the possibility of being able to shoot down enemy bombers. One of these tasks could be to intercept the enemy paratroopers before the launch, not necessarily killing the entire team, but at least forcing them to abandon the plane before the designated point, given that currently there is no real counter for the paratroopers, and the fighter in this case would be essential (why can I shoot down enemy para planes even if they are not marked with the red check?).
Obviously these are very personal observations, it is right that you may disagree. How would you like to contribute to making the fighter more useful in the game?
