I’m not entirely sure about Russian tracers, but I know that in General, the Allied Powers used Red tracer rounds, and the Axis powers used Green tracers. If that could be implemented, it would be an awesome step in true immersion. You wouldn’t have to turn around in battle to see if it was an enemy that just shot passed your head, if you recognize the tracer color. Picking up enemy weapons would then have an extra tactical advantage.
Tanks and planes already have appropriate tracer color.
Nice.
Only heavy machine guns, light machine guns in tanks and infantry had colored tracer ammunition. It was used to indicate the location of the enemy to close support aircraft and field, tank or self-propelled guns. Tracer ammo is a double-edged weapon because it also indicates the location of the shooter.
Tracer ammunition was also used in regular weapons, but every 3rd round was in the magazine so that the soldier could correct the fire and it also helped both allies and enemies as long as such ammunition was available in the front warehouse.
And tracer ammo also causes fires.
These things (green tracers) should be removed, as they only give away the player’s position for enemies.
For a Panzer IV or III in Moscow it is a death sentence.
That’s cool and all, but I was asking for all tracers to be colored. If you haven’t noticed, all bullets in the game are tracers, infantry arms are colored orange for both teams.
