This game is evolving and constantly getting better. I have listed the most important updates the last six months that comes to my mind.
I have certainly missed some key uptades, pls remind me of this features.
Let’s say we had to live without this upgrade and were forced to go back, the game would be so much worse IMO.
Jump and shoot - Bunnyhopping is completely gone.
Flakspam - You don’t see any of this idiocrasy anymore.
Throwing range of grenade perk - You’ll know now if your soldier got the perk and will not overshoot grenades anymore.
Deletion of your rally point. You’ll now know. Thank you for that.
Squad settings - are now saved over time
Switching between squad members is now refined and to the better
Bolt action is fun, BA is life, and - BA is now powerful and great for everybody (newcomers as veterans).
Markings of enemy tanks have improved - a lot.
Smoke grenades are now very efficient.
Machine gun nests are now diverse among the factions.
Tank commanders are now able to use a personal weapon
This game is all about team play and engineers are the core in this regard. The mechanics of the engineer has been a lot better and now you also get more points for building (and destroying objects)
Mortar spam is gone
Endless overlapping artillery is gone
Pilots have parachutes
The commander view is useful
Bombers hitting the spawn at the very start of the battle for 20 guaranteed kills are gone
Being able to exit tank alone, so you don’t lose most of your crew while doing repairs.
Planes are far less tanky now. Most of the time.
Moving AT guns around.
New tanks sights.
Loader is now a crucial crew member.
Replays.
Mods!
back then you were able to use the crate multiple times instead of finish all their resourches.
now, what you can do, is 1/4th ( in terms of efficency, and speed ) of what we were able to do back then.
( as it’s now more time consuming, and you will not be able to fire the same ammount of shots as mortars will instantly make the ammo crate unusable after one use, and rounds has been delayed between the time you fire, and the time those will reach the ground )
others on top of my head, ( that has been fixed and i’m very grateful of )
no more rally protection, no more semi auto rof cap, newer and more user friendly UI, customization ( even though, it needs a huge rework ) and mod support. ( at least for me ).
Enlisted is literally everything I’ve ever wanted from a WW2 shooter. Its fun, immersive, and a awesome sandbox. I’m glad it continues to grow and evolve
This is good and all, I just wish so many core systems weren’t deeply flawed or seemingly not designed to be used by humans. I’ve been here since alpha and I want to be proud of what the game has been able to achieve. Unfortunately, negativity and apathy that can be seen here appear for a reason.
Kind of a pain in train escort missions in Berlin - I am not sure if it also deletes ammo boxes, but I noticed once that my ammo crate broke as train… I don’t remember if arrived closer, or went further.
I suppose it’s the only mission type that lessens the usefulness of engineers (except for the escorting forces, where engineers can fix turrets).
Still, positive aspect - we have gunners on some planes, who may not be great at their job, at least they give some psychological comfort for the player pilot.
I appreciate how you couldn’t think of one thing to appreciate in this appreciation thread. It wouldn’t be an enlisted forum post if there weren’t grumpy trolls looking for things to complain about.
You can appreciate what’s been done while still pointing out what needs to be done. For example, the mounting system needs reworked for all weapons to make it easier to mount on ledges without the awkward limited view. You can be contempt with the game being good, but we’d prefer it to be great.
Well I dont see the point here if their placement is still extremely painful and still share same dispersion with normal MGs. Its like a trash can colored like a rainbow.
OG’s remember when every artillery squad fired simultaneously with half the cooldown they have now, 80% of both teams sitting behind a hill calling in strikes nonstop…
I also really like that the bots are more deadly now.
High on my list for needing fix: Plane damage models, server load issues (AI controlled squads stop moving when server load is high).
