AP shells are like firing a bunch of fucking duds

i swear i emptied my entire inventory of 52 AP shells into this tank and it was still rolling around like nothing even happened to it… but then magically 1 detpack turns it into a smoldering pile of ash… like how the fuck does 1 pack of dynamite have more power then my entire inventory of AP shells…

it makes no sense… iv said this soo many times… if your gonna make a throw-able explosive that powerful its gotta be the RDX Comp-C… but that’s besides the point…

these AP tank shells literally feel like im shooting blank rounds… they don’t do shit…

Yes the damage models are sheit. With my semo 3 shoots into the side of a m3 nothing. And i dont want to talk about planes-.- 20mm and 12.7mm do nothing and 3 7.7 destroy my 202 -.-

yea… like don’t even get me started on the AAA guns… :unamused: fuckin choo choo trains is what i call em like they couldn’t possibly have given us a slower firing AA gun… its pretty much impossible to hit anything in the sky that isn’t stationary like blimps

its like they say the slow rate of fire was to balance it out against ground troops… yet because of its slow rate of fire ground troops are only thing the AAA turrets are really used against… talk about shooting yourself in the foot…

simple solution to making the AAA turrets more useful against air and basically useless against ground
Increase Fire Rate/Ammo Capacity & restrict the elevation to 15 degree’s at its lowest so it can’t aim at the ground…

well idk, when i shoot at those tanks they usually explode as long as that round pierces, these AP shells have a very lot of explosive in them, you can even use them as an improvised anti infantry HE rounds

same shit up until recently it seems… i could shoot tanks in their weak spot and usually get at least 1 kill but even when i was throwing shells at the spot where my marker turns green they didn’t do shit.

depends on the tank since only western allies have no filler shells

Solid shot for all tanks just plain suck and it’s been brought up for months now.

Even the premium Valentine’s solid shot, which you only have 30 rounds, sucks

your goal is not shooting at “green mark”, your goal is eliminating enemy tankers

if you think tanks have hitpoints, go back to WoT

some tanks have more HE filler in their shells, some less - and i dont want to see it getting ridicolouslly buffed, if you would like for enemy tanks to explode immediattely, hey! go play War Thunder …or berlin campaign

tanks ingame do have hit marks though… when your crosshair turns from red to green that means your aiming at a weak spot… i may barely use tanks but even i know that…

good point… i was using the M4A3E2 Jumbo… so it wasn’t un petit shell…

It’s Solid shot. The AP on the Jumbo has no HE filler, and no post-pen damage modeled, really, so you have to hit crew directly or hope for an ammo rack hitting ammo. It’s pretty lame.

you are not aiming at a weak spot, but at a spot where your shell will penetrate the armour, dealing damage is not necessary

i recommend you take a look at internal modules of the tank and crew position (which is currently not possible in the game, so you will need to use externa sources) and learn where should you shoot to do damage

you basically just described a “weak spot” while saying weak spots don’t exist :cricket::cricket::cricket:

i said you can penetrate tank, while dealing no damage, green mark therefore doesnt mean that you will deal damage (it only indicates that the shell will penetrate), you got to destroy the internal part by hitting at the spot where it is located

ergo its a “weak point” :face_with_raised_eyebrow: since it damages the vehicle, the problem i was facing was i was shooting those spots all over his tank and it did literally nothing other then when i was able to hit the gunner once but soon as i took out the gunner the 1st time i shot that spot again and it did nothing for the following shots… even though he clearly had a gunner since he was shooting at my tank

peharps he was changing seats - or the shell didnt LAND on the green spot because of cannon innacuracy

we were repeatedly taking shot after shot at each other we were front to front, the only difference was his shots seemed to be blowing me to shit destroying every part of my vehicle and my shots just seemed to be turning into dust on impact
