This IMO should be implemented ASAP.
This is so lame and unfun. An hard lock at 6-7 mines placed for player would be lame in any case but better.
But i lost my hope already, i know mines will eventually get nerfed to the oblivion.
the tactic of:
- run mine the objective
- run to the action & die
- respawn and run mine the objective again
is the reason why objectives are so damn mined sometimes. Because all the mines are left activated. This was my main idea with this suggestion to prevent that.
lets carry this further, and when engineers die, all there stuff disappears too?
make it easier for you to take point, in case s1 hiding behind fortifications left? and might pop out and kill you.
Bet real life soldier, wish all mines disappear after death of person that laid it.
No i am not a mine spammer advocate
i think limiting a amount a squad can take a better way to go,
maybe just remove them all together even, or go further remove anything that can kill you in game
Do they also spawn 1 MG in 1 second with no cost everywhere?
Bitch please.
The realism argument in this game is like beating up a dead horse.
Do real life soldiers also use medkits to simply “heal” or do tanks have magical protection zones that cant be entered by the enemy?
Or lets stick to mines, shall we? Do WW2 mines in rea life dont trigger if allies step on them? Did they just get dropped while walking and magically get active after a couple of seconds without any further interaction?
But is that ReAlIsTiC?
Actually this is good idea but only for AT cannons , MGs and AAs since i sometimes forget them and they will be stuck on the grey zone after we lose an Obj and I cannot build them again though for barbwires and such I dont feel like this will be a good idea since the guy took his time to make those defenses and it would neglect fortifying Obj
This 100%
well if they cant code that, well no its not,
and taking 9x mines on a any squad realistic(they all issued mines?, i would say no as well
always been happy if they make em do that in game, again code it,
I know damm right i wont be going anywhere near a point, and once new rockets in game, i don’t think i will be anywhere near them, in future.
Why stop at mines? Lets go further.
Japanese soldiers cant walk with a 52kg AT cannon. The Japanese actually used horses to transport it.
So nice, Japan cant use its first AT gun because of ReAlISm.
Allies cant rearm in air in Normandy and need to fly back to England to rearm… and much more stupidity…
All that because disappearing mines is apparently too much to handle.
IDC, i don’t use em that much, only on engie of late, as others say to put on own rally.
i am not one asking to remove something, because it can kill them.
I think it is also not because of “It CaN kIlL” but rather its excessive and skillless and toxic spam.
Poor mans weapons when facing killer orca whales, bet they kill leader of pack(engie) first
Mines unless placed on a rally, are 1 kill lethal for one guy.
I know this, but it the few and not all, and i think it toxic scummy tactics my self, but to think the time i will try and protect a path on obj it gets removed due to the few scummy toxic players.
I do find it valid for clan war fare though, whom just happen to play on same servers.
And the 10 others from same dude lying around. And the 10 from the other dude and another 10…
Not really.
Which the two or three clans can di elsewhere other than the main servers.
bit off maybe 9max
Valid
Once again, the mine is doing its job perfectly as intended. Complaining about it only proves it. They’re supposed to be sneaky traps and delay the enemy. I think they are completely fine and should be unchanged.
The only real suggestion would be to make Engineers have the ability to disarm mines. It gives them even more utilities. This should definitely be added to the game
Tanks camping in greyzone also do their job technically. Just a pit for the infantry.
Or old bombs that nuked entire maps including allies.
Or dispersion nerfing autos to give SAs and BAs a slightly better chance.
Or that free players only have four slots…or
Already works like that, if your buildables are stuck in the greyzone, you can build them again, though I don’t remember if it’s just your greyzone or the absolute greyzone.
Not exactly sure how these are comparable ?
1 requires specific soldier, requires some time and effort
1 Requires drop & forget
