I love this thing. Its not exactly the best gun in the world, what with the incredibly low fire rate, the painfully low muzzle velocity, and the big “Hey look at me!” bullet trail, but when it hits things they die, and I can appreciate that goshdangit! Honestly I’d love more gold order weapons in that sort of vein. Weapons that are quirky and distinct, even if that means they aren’t really the best of weapons. Maybe we can even get something ridiculous, like a nock gun, I don’t know.

If you have gotten at least one gold weapon order, you should have a berdan 2. Sure those G43ks and RMN 50s may look tempting, with their firepower and practicallity, but nothing beats dropping people with a weapon out of the Crimean war like smokeless powder never happened.

I have lots of Winchesters now, not counting semi-autos, but I still use it whenever I have the “kill XX enemies using a bolt action rifle”.
It’s a shame that the gold order weapons have moved away from the original concept of weapons that are not particularly good but cool. It’s a shame that the British gold order weapon is not the Martini-Henry.
