Any news for us modders?

i don’t wanna sound… impatient or " force " the hands of no one. and i understand right now there are other priorities.

but, we would like to know what’s coming for us as well regarding news on the editor.

for example;

  • since the merge will unify alot of content, and most likely, change alot of names, what will this mean for our mods?
    for example, how will profile works with the new system? what we have to change to adapt it to the new update?
    how will we be able to fix our mods ahead of time to still provide gamemodes for players?.

  • will entities.blk finally be functional with more than one player?

  • will Custom Players profiles finally work?

  • will the new equipment selector be integrated with the editor or just customs?

  • any improvements made to the custom games?
    ( for example, be able to remove the balancer team, reduce the timer, change the name, add descriptions, lock one team for AIs and the other for players, etc ? ) and a long list of what we asked along time ago: Custom Matches - Improvements

  • any new tools? brushes to change texture of the map? a new long awaited terraform ? prefab? the river spline system that was praised when the pacific was launched? anything at all?

even if there is some huge update for the costum map and editor, there is still a huge ammount of things to cover in future dev blog for the tech tree, squad merge,perk rework, new currency, punishment for deserter, the rest that was in the roadmap under the progression…

Imo before they talk about editor and costum map another year is passed

It’s weird that portal don’t allow you to upload mods more 4-5mb.
I know one user without premium and he uploads mod with around 23mb.
Any screenshots please?

UPD: I still can without any problems upload 22.58mb file in sandbox portal.

Also…

I’m not very good understand what you mean on equipment selector or custom selector.
You mean ability to equip soldiers like in hangar?

Oh… Is it equipment changes depends on maps? And announced custom matches weapon limitation?

yeah. i had the issue of when you try to upload a mod but it doesn’t let you. and there’s a red message appearing at the bottom. when you try couple of times and you have to refresh.

did a few days ago and it didn’t worked either.

but now i made a test and all worked correctly. like, the mod of 14mb and another with 7. both managed to be uploaded :+1:

Devs announced the equipment selector.

where you can chose the equipment available for players to use in custom games.

i was wondering if it can be integrated with the mods.

so that for example, in my historical matches, people don’t have to go through the hussle of banning non historical stuff. where modders can do that for their own missions.

that’s what i’m talking about.

Can they load and work properly in custom rooms? Several days ago I failed to load my Berlin mod (with navmesh) for weird reason :smiling_face_with_tear:

The Berlin map itself is strange. I made a 2.5 mb card and it refused to run on the network if modern technology was available, but without it everything works. And the most interesting thing with other cards is not like this, probably optimization.:smiling_face_with_tear:
