Any BP guns you believe should be in the tech tree?

I generally don’t want BP guns to be moved to the tech tree because that is both lazy and unfair towards people that bought said guns but there are exceptions to this.

There are guns that were added to the BP even though they are standard issue weapons such as French Chatellerault FM24/29 or Finish Lahti-Saloranta M/26, these guns were too wide spread to be limited to four like prototype guns.

There are also weapons that should have been added to the tech tree in the first place such as Japanese type hei 10 rifle.

Considering that the BP shop will soon be removed, it would be possible to move these guns to the tech tree without huge controversy.

I think weapons such FM24/29 could be compromised by adding them to “subfaction tree” so the BP variant could be used by any squad in the faction, but only French squads could use the non-BP bought FM24/29.
So even the BP variant would hold some uniqueness but the gun also wouldn’t be limited to four only.

The rpk43 should be in TT because is the only decent soviet mg at BR2

Considering that RPK43 is a prototype weapon, I would prefer another Soviet prototype MG added to BR2, if there isnt a candidate than I guess it would be reasonable to move it.

I have no clue why we have two Type Hei (10) as BP. :man_shrugging:

All TT don’t are dry of prototype anyway one more, one less isn’t going to do difference, also The other canditate is the gorov lmg but some how is a full auto rifle for infantry

Or they could get lend-leased Bren gun or captured zb-30 but I should probably shut up because Enlisted players hate copy paste.

Also we can agree soviet had already too much lend lease, they should use their stuff and give back the Valentine to the Allies TT :sob:

Was just about to say they should be TT. Maybe move the type 10 to BR 3 and have the late in the TT at BR 4.

They could just add France as a faction and then the FM24/29, Lebel, UD-42, and Chauchat could be added as tech tree guns for the French. They could do the same with the Lahti and Suomi’s for the Finns if Finland ever got a tech tree though I doubt that would ever happen.

The Johnson rifle was a Premium Squad weapon for the US in Normandy long before it was ever added as a tech tree gun for the US in the Pacific. So Premium Squad Weapons, BP Weapons, Event Weapons, and Event Squad Weapons could all be added to tech trees.

I bought four of these and they are the only level two MG’s I use. Until DF moves a BAR to level two (which will never happen) I’ll keep using it. However, this SHOULD be a tech tree MG. I also think the Japanese Hotchkiss MG along with the Russian RPK1943 should be tech tree. I would also move the BP1929 Thompson to tech tree.

It would be better if they could reappear in the form of weapons obtained through activities, although that would make DF lazy to a great extent. If some new factions are to be introduced, it won’t be a problem to put some of their weapons into the technology tree.

I think some of those very unused semi autos for BR1 and such should be TT, or the artillery Luger being a primary weapon, just so that new players dont need to play with bolt actions if they don’t want to.

Those should definitely be in the tech tree.
For their own factions.

You mean Subfactions, real factions aren’t up for debate anymore.

I’m sorry for a derailing but I feel some guns like the Gweher 1888 or some allied weapon could be for a good Volksturm premium squad or event

This isn’t derailing, this is the kind of stuff we are talking about.
I guess the option is there to turn them into premium guns just as M2A1 carbine was turned into an event gun but I don’t know how many people would be interested in buying such squads

But why bsa thompson? The devs could just make 20 round m1a1 or m1928a1 for usa tech tree instead
