I’ve been playing a bit as a support, using engineers and building AA guns to make sure the enemy army doesn’t have air support.
but by shooting down countless aircraft, you don’t get death points, just (the player killed himself), and this is wrong, I hit him and took him down.
so I’d like you to fix that, and put a new battle hero at the end of the game as anti-aircraft defense or something.

That happens because in most situations when a plane gets shot, it’s faster to press Esc and suicide. That’s why it happens.
Pretty sure you do get points for suicide if you’ve damaged someone - I’ve suicided out of countless damaged planes and it always - in fact jsut did it - “I kiled myself” - and the other guy got the il-2 kill credited.

You only get credited the kill if you hit the pilot before he suicides, otherwise it doesn’t count as a player kill, only a vehicle one.
As far as I know, you don’t get points, for someone else suiciding.

Well someone got written credit for my suiicide less than 5 minutes ago - usual thing - took a few bullets from a Stuka - couldn’t control it - suicided out. Player had 2 vehicle kills in final results - can’t be sure whther I was one or not of course:
The last time I shot someone down with AA as well the killfeed just showed the generic “TEAMMATE” killed them and the plane.
I’ve seen that from the other end too where it just says ENEMY explosion You
Maybe it’s crediting the gun? I’ve had times before where I destroyed an AA gun or Machine gun and it says “You circle ENEMY”
Think this happens if you survive long enough and the enemy already switched to a different squad.
This is one where I was still actively hitting it and it didn’t give anyone credit.
Though it’s not always the case, sometimes I do get credit.
