Another Thompson for the Soviets coming soon?

Was scrolling through my replays, and as I was scrolling through the enemy team, I saw a 5 man squad, all of them equipped with this bad boy.

Now clearly, that’s not the same legacy Thompson from the Stalingrad campaign, as that one was the Thompson M21/28, and the one in the picture is the M1928A1, I remember hearing in the past that the MP-41(r) was found on bots in Stalingrad before it was introduced in the event it was in. Do you guys think this is the same situation? If so, I can’t wait to get my grubby hands on it as it’s my favorite Thompson variant.

This one has been in Stalingrad since the merge. It is only usable for the bots however, but you can pick it up on dead bodies.

Anyway, it’s a good weapon but at BR3 the box PPsH is probably better.

I’m guessing/hoping they’ll do the same thing that they did with the MP-41(r), only give it to bots in the beginning, and in the future, give it to us players as an event weapon. Fingers crossed🤞

It’s not that I want them to use them over the PPSH, I just wanna equip my Lend-Lease tank crews with them. I’m also American so I have a little bit of bias towards the Thompson.

If they do actually add a drum mag Thompson for the Soviets, I’m hoping it’s the 50 round mag and not the cartoonish looking 100 round mag. That thing looks so freakin ugly.
