Giant stuart
Poor japanese, the giant stuart is come for them
Hey i actually built a small plastic model of one of these tanks, though instead of the 1919 in the hull i built it with a flamethrower
Apparently the Semovante in Tunisia never actually saw use outside of Italy. Maybe that’s a sign that we will end up seeing the Chi-He and/or Chi-Nu as well (which were made but allocated for the defense of the Home Islands).
Depending on which battle they focus on, Chi-Nu could easily end up being outside of the timeframe. If I remember correctly, Guadalcanal was over by the time the first Chi-Nu or Chi-To were built.
I wish they went for the fully asymmetric route, but it’s probably not possible. Not for Darkflow at least.
is it even possible?
and what weapons vehicles would “we loose”?
Who knows. I’m not a developer so I can only theorize. I’d like to believe that it is possible, but it requires a comprehensive approach.
An approach that goes beyond just which weapons / vehicles counter what, and includes terrain, objectives, the number of reinforcements, etc. Maybe even squad size and bot behavior. Easier said than done, I know.
Red Orchestra: Rising Storm did it, with success, too.
I’m sure DF could manage it if they wanted to.
But will they want to?
You truly missed a masterpiece…
It was the prime example of asymmetric balance done right.
Usa had powerful equipment.
Japan had unique mechanics giving them other advantages.
And every match was balanced, to the point we never knew which side would win till near the end of the match.
Yeah, mass-production of Chi-Nu was started since November 1944, and Chi-To was never mass-produced.
Basically, Japanese next-gen tanks like Ho-I, Chi-He, Chi-Nu etc are available after 1944.
