Neither 100 round SMG and LMG, too easy to drop behind enemy and squad wipe.
This solution makes the most sense to me aswell.
Im a bit dumbfounded the folgore got left untouchedâŚ
as much as i like the og-43 squad, i will be the odd voice asking for them to STAY at high BR. im extremely tired of the complete change of the game the paratrooper spam we have right now have brought. in fact, i will render all paratroopers to BR5, with a change of gear according to the new BR. let all of em paratroopers duke it out among themselves, and leave somewhere a battlefield with their extremely damaging mechanics out of the equation.
it used to be a somewhat fixed front, with the incoming direction of the enemy known, with some creative flanking by some poor guy that walked the entire combat front with the cheeks clinged in order to build a good flanking rally and give the team a win.
now, there is no fixed front, no incoming direction known, the entire 2d map is the battle front, there is no back to regroup, no front to cover approaches, you can as easily be killed by enemies ahead, behind, left, right or even right in the spot you are standing. i seen, and i guess most have too, upwards of 3 paratrooper squads drop instantly on the last cap, the second the one before was taken. counterplay? well, you canâŚermâŚnope. you cant.
it cant be pressed enough how badly this works for a game with maps DESIGNED form the ground up to have lines of approach, defensive positions and attack routes. the maps, the gamemodes and the weaponry and gear are not designed to deal with an enemy EVERYWHERE. at this point, why even have a red arrow indicating where the enemy comes from? its just practically misleading if you are playing high BR nowadays.
even World of Warcraft had to do a massive overhaul of all their maps and zones when they added flying mounts to the old continents. here we get the same exact maps designed for ground combat, with no change to accomodate the new gameplay changer mechanic.
i guess its just more of the run-run-pew-pew-die-repeat gameplay most of the community seems fond of, just instead of run-run-pew-pew, you just take a taxi straight to the pew-pew.
i mean, just take a fighter plane in any of the high BR maps, if you try to down the paratrooper planes you come across, you wont even have time to look at the ground below. its good free xp, except the premium ussr paratrooper plane that seems made of stalinium. its like a flock of planes everywhere, wonder how they just dont crash constantly with each other. and sometimes, hilariously, they do.
The Germans have never been a high priority for DF thereâs quite a good bit of us so weâre not the main focus theyâre more interested in trying to keep the allies and the Soviets attention instead of focusing on all factions equally
It is the same reason they havenât fixed any gun sights of the American Carbines, Garands, Johnson 1941, Winchester M1895, and other guns.
I donât know the reason either, lol.
Artificial balancing and magical way of doing things because if they actually had sites that were working theyâd have to fix the other factions as well
OR, we make each nation have a special drop selection for their paratroopers.
Give the Soviets an elite assault selection where they get PPSH 41s with a large ammo pouch.
Give Americans an elite engineer selection where they get foldable M2 Carbines or some variant of Thompson with an extra mag of ammo. Maybe all of them turn into engineers?
Give British elite recon selection where they get their Enfield Rifle No. 4 Mk I snipers with a large ammo pouch.
Give Japs an elite Machinegunner selection where they get the Type 96 with a large ammo pouch.
Give Germans an elite grenadier selection where they get a large grenade pouch of normal grenades plus theirs equipped.
Why would they not do it?
Because theyâre trying to keep this game casual and probably have to rework the entire game as well
it isnât even casual thoâŚ
6 flamethrowers is a big problem. So no.
Is this some kind of joke?
The stuff the Germans get at end game are the only things that we have reliable but unfortunately itâs screwed over by dispersion when it comes to long distance combat And the FG42 grenade launcher that thing is debatable when it comes to grenade launcher even working if it decides to work.
It is with dispersion it punishes players having skill unless youâre playing Soviets
And donât forget they donât let us even choose firing modes for some of our weapons so bots can defend themselves
The flamethrower isnt even that good. You get the same ammo as a flametrooper 1 squad and you can only fire one flamethrower at a time anyways AND you dont get an engineer so you cant refuel. There is no reason they should be br 4. Br3 seems fair since thats what the flamethrowers are.
What is the last time you ever see people use those flamethrower though?
Exactly, they should not be put in BR4 with a BR1 weapon reskinned and all the equipment in the box is $hit, the GrB39 doesnât do anything to T34s,it even has a tough time with the tanks in its own BR, the other weapons are terrible, and the flamers you have to take because itâs the only option you can do any sort of damage with, but that damage is just so much less than just a normal flamer squad, you get barely any fuel, terrible range, walk while doing so, and only using one at a time,if they are keeping it in BR4 give it the MG 34 pat.,G43 sniper, the T3 mortar, and the raktenpanzerbuche or panzerfaust 100
Looks promising. Maybe Italian paratroopers will be able to explore Tunisia again
