An alternate version of how I would compensate Stalingrad pack players

Any item in the Stalingrad linear tree would merge into the USSR and Germany progression tree after the update.

  • An item refers to infantry weapon and vehicle that was used in Stalingrad, nothing more or less.

I do agree on some things for removal, since it would be almost impossible to control.

  • Removal of the x4 experience gain rate would need to happen.

  • Removal of all Stalingrad version of weapons that had tweaked values.

  • Removal of the stamina drain system using infantry light machine guns.

How I would compensate:

  1. Every item from Stalingrad is now in their respected progression tree faction.

  2. Nothing will be removed, but instead, everything will now be unlockable to earn.

A player with the pack will have some different/tweaked benefits than now, but as equally fair.

  1. If the item is unlocked before the update, those items are grandfathered into new system.

  2. If item is not unlocked before the update, those items will have a 30% research reduction cost.

  3. Research, from what I was reading about the update, is the core of unlocking items now.

  4. And then the player would spend silver, the new in game currency, to obtain the item(s).

  5. With that 30% research reduction, the player also gets a 60% discount on obtaining items.

Example of what I am trying to come across: lets say the MP40 is 100,000 research points to unlock. With the bonuses of having the Stalingrad pack, it would now be 70,000 research points to unlock.

The game would auto give you one copy of the weapon for free and then allow you to spend silver to purchase more at lets say 50,000 silver. Getting more copies after the first free one would now be 35,000 or so, and with a higher chance to be maxed level.

I could carry the example further by having these discounts also effect upgrading costs and such, but you sort of get the idea already, right?

Also, when I meant by everything will now be unlockable, this refers to people not having the Stalingrad pack. They would be allowed to unlock certain weapons the developers deemed to be removable like the MP 717 R, Mann M93, and lend leased breda/thompson, at x2 the rates.

  • Without the pack, the grind is x2 and the rates of quality per gear won’t be swayed in your favor. You also won’t get a free copy of the weapon from research points as to unlock the item.

Squad slots compensation: since I have no clue on the new system and how it will perform, the best I can say right now is a permanent +2 slots for both USSR and Germany progression tree factions. It won’t be the +4 each, as to keep this entire idea an option Darkflow might want to reconsider on.

The flame tanks will obviously stay and not be changed in any way shape or form.

Anything else I failed to mention would fall roughly in the above statements line of thinking.

Would you rather this compensation or the one they proposed earlier today?

Pretty much overyone who’s owning Full acess got everything unlocked, completely irrelevant compensation as well.

They already said it will be compensated for gold. Which is more fair.

Of course, 100%, but this method can keep this pack active at all times and can instead be treated for a faction booster for some weapon and vehicle gear for USSR and Germany.

In short, if new players came along to buy this, probably renamed to something else if this idea was real, then they would get the “new” stuff at cheaper rates and with better odds.

For veterans, it doesn’t matter much - but its the core principle of keeping a system in place so FUTURE type faction bundles like this could happen (where it does effect veterans on some capacity).

EDIT: this idea can’t please everyone, but it is a step in a better direction than FOMO and other… badly worded phrases of Stalingrad’s past.

I would just give every owner 30e equivalent of gold + they could keep premiun flamer tanks. Everything else should be able accessible for f2p.

Things like bonus percentages are just meh. The value would be so huge, its just not fair for just 30e.

Sadly, that wouldn’t ever happen as they would have to admit total defeat instead of rerouting concerns that can please the most people as possible.

Whole full access concept Stalingrad was huge misstep af, they should finally accept it. (The marketing guy who come up with this should be just fired) But I don’t think owners of full access (including me) should abuse/blackmail devs for it. It’s still just 30e lol.
And f2p shouldn’t lost option to get things like stz and german ppsh for good.

With current info, they just tried to calm down overdramatic tryhards, yet they did exactly opposite. They should take exclusivity back and say sorry for mistake :man_shrugging:

Yeah, the blackmail or gaslighting shit I see on here is pretty wild. Obviously, when they made Stalingrad… the whole progression system rework wasn’t even on the table. Now that it is, the table got too large and across from it is the Stalingrad and Pacific bundles.

It’s why even with my version here, f2p would still be able to get these items, but at higher rates since I have to assume the mind as a developer who TRIES to make the pack still worth in value if it wasn’t going to be removed and to make it fair in some capacity for anyone to experience the content.

The outright removal of content though is pointless and asinine on so many levels currently.

We’ll see if they change opinion about it. I don’t think so, but it would nice.

I respect your suggestion but I think it’s too complicated to be actually used.

Maybe they should just give every owner 60 days (or any relevant number of days) of premium time as apology, it’s still percentages in some way. But it wouldn’t be overused/overabused. + compensation as I mentioned above.

Ehh it’s just slightly worse rates than what we have now at I think a 75% reduction on item cost? tbh haven’t played stalingrad in months and I don’t remember the total value. the idea is just to transition to the grander scale of a faction instead of that faction held within a campaign.

But yes… time will tell on a changed opinion or not.

…would you be so kind to link that statement, please?

AFAIK they only said they would compensate with gold for purchased slots that will exceed the new allowed maximum.

While in regards to Stalingrad full access slots, so far the official statement is “we’ll remove them and you get nothing back”.

Mate, I am lazy, it’s in the topics ralated to merge/tech tree etc, when keo and some helpers were answering to Stalingrad problem and tons of other spam.

This is about slots for example. But I remember they said owners will be compensated in gold for experience bonus etc. Xd But I really don’t expect much. I really don’t want to digging those topics for minutes tho xd

Please read the latest edit on my previous post with the quote.

I’m certain they did say they’ll compensate experience bonus as well yet I don’t have any prove now.

But they did say a lot of things tho, so…
