It was so cool seeing the Japanese tank in the water, shooting around. Kind of reminded me of an ironclad from the Civil War. It makes me want ships and naval warfare to come to the game eventually.

Well, at least in documents in the office they are the boat already.
Name of this vehicle is “Special Type 3 Motorboat” (特三式内火艇) and they are listed as a boat in the list of Japanese warships at the end of war submitted to SCAP/GHQ from Japanese government

Slow boat with a slow-firing low velocity 37mm vs a very fast boat with 2 20mms, an automatic 40mm, a .50 and an 82mm
PTF-7 is Vietnam war era’s gunboat so it’s too modern…
Also, WW2 era PT-boats have too heavy weapons so they’ll be unbalanced battle. (AB was designed for support landing warfare but PT was designed to destroy enemy ship)

Chaffee and Pershing are 100% cold war tanks
Yeah, M5, M24, M4 etc are used during Cold War but they designed and used since WW2.
In other hand HNoMS Nasty (original design of PTF by Norwegian) was designed and launched late of 1950s and PTFs were build during 1960s. It’s very large difference.
Chaffee first saw service at the end of 1944, along side the Jumbo. Pershing first saw service in early-mid 1945. Both are WW2 tanks that saw service in the Cold War, not Cold War exclusive tanks.

Chaffee literally saw widespread service all throughout the end of the war, with many light tank units exclusively using them by the end of the war, and the Pershing while limited, saw a lot of action in Germany as well. Saying these tanks are not WW2 tanks is like saying the Jagdtiger is not a WW2 tank.

Jagdtiger’s only action was in WWII, so it can’t be anything else.
For the record I don’t want that in game either, but the devs are scraping the barrel for content before the barrel is even half empty.
I would much rather see wet-rack 76mm Shermans than Jumbos, Pershings, or Chaffees.

But Jumbo only also saw action in WW2, Chaffee is an iconic tank of the Battle of the Bulge and Pershing very much in the same boat as the Jagdtiger, with the only difference being it was used after ww2. If you had said they do not belong in Normandy, that would be fine, but to say they are not WW2 tanks is just false.
