Ammunition boxes

I have thought about this for a while and it just feels so off. Like you can reload flamethrower, mortars, at-guns etc with the ammo boxes. Here is where the most annoying thing comes, you cant refill the grenades for the rifles with a grenade launcher which make those weapons totally useless.

The grenades on them are already not that powerful, so by not being able to refill them makes the potential of those weapons go to a waste. Don’t say it makes it unbalanced cause then you should not be able to refill the airplane bombs, refill tanks etc and don’t get me started with you can nearly have artillery strikes up 24/7 and bomb the living shit out of the cap points if you have 2-3 radio squads active in your team.
I really like the game over all, good maps, the ability to customize your squads with different types of soldiers etc. Hands down one of the most fun fps game just because it never becomes “static” like you can play up front in a fast pace, some matches chill with more long distance squads like the mortar squads etc.

The thing is it most likely for balance reasons why grenade launchers can’t be refilled at ammo boxes. For one you can only have two flamethrowers in one squad, two radiomen in one squad, and if I’m not mistaken 2-3 mortarmen for one squad compared to NINE infantry in one infantry squad leading to a possibility of 27 rifle grenades and a extra 27 regular throwables if I’m not mistaken with the backpack slot leading to more explosive spam. Now as for tanks and airplanes they have to get their ammo somewhere further from the frontline at a certain place and in my opinion artillery spam isn’t that bad compared to what it used to be when everyone could call artillery in at the same time turning Normandy into Verdun.

Another point is grenade launchers in enlisted usually don’t require much skill to use especially indoors when all you have to do is either hit the ceiling in a room for a kill or injure or at someone’s feet for a group kill or singular kill while distance does require some skill with it for aiming. Will mortar teams need people to mark where enemies are grouped and same with radiomen alongside predicting where enemies will go. Flamethrowers I will be honest I never knew you could refill but the bug for flames reaching through walls kinda makes it a little overpowered due to everyone getting lit on fire instantly.

I am glad though you are liking enlisted especially as a free to play title, it is surprisingly fun to play and usually never has a dull moment.

It maybe a good idea to limit flamethrower to be refilled for limited time like anti-tank weapons. Because in a balanced battle flamethrowers usually do not survive so long to run out fuel for twice, but in a unbalanced battle they may do a lot of damage by keep filling fuel when enemy have no way to counter.

As @90989596 said, its far easier to spam grenade launchers due to the only restriction being that they are for riflemen only.

As far as how strong they are: they may not be as strong as they used to be, but they are still pretty powerful. Good aim will often yield multiple kills. The only thing that really compares with that kind of ability is the flamethrower, which IS overpowered, and that is a common complaint. HOWEVER, the fuel has to be fully out before it will allow you to grab more ammo.

GL do NOT need the buff. They are specifically given to soldiers that are supposed to move in and be the front line, therefore being expendable. Just switch to the next one when you need more shots. If your guys are dying off too quickly to do that, consider bringing in an engineer to put up some cover to extend their lives.

You can refill flamethrowers but you have to use all of your primary weapon ammo first.

I’ve thought maybe they could add a new Munitions Box for gadgets and grenades.

Just an fyi, you don’t need to use all your primary weapon ammo first, the flamethrower ammo just needs to be empty. Then it will allow you to refill it.

Well for me my primary has to be empty for the flamethrower to refill

Grenades are such an extremely powerful tool, I don’t forsee them adding in a box for them (or for mines in that regard as well). There are medics that can drop med-boxes though.

Try firing 1 primary bullet and emptying the flamethrower. I just did it on the testing range and it seemed to work. Let me know if that doesn’t though.

It could be fine, but they would have to make it to were you can only refill once and then the box gets depleted. That way you can’t just refill over and over (unless you build multiple ammo box)
