When I pick up a FRIENDLY weapon like from one of my dead teammates or my own dead squad mates why can I not get more ammo for it from an ammo box? Also, I didn’t have this problem in the practice range but I swear that I can’t get more ammo for my secondary long arm and side arms from ammo crates in matches. However, perhaps that is only when they are secondary guns that I picked up off a dead guy.

Yeah I’m ok with getting bugger all ammo when picking up an enemy weapon but an allied weapon I would love to have more ammo for.

Exactly.
I think it’s to prevent you from getting the gold order guns, but if so then they really ought to at least let you restock on the other stuff.

Smgs and especially lmgs would also become much more problematic if you could restock them
Gunners and assaulters are limited for a reason
Edit: although i would agree with having ammo resupply for BA rifles, earlier smgs and semis in the late war campaigns

Yeah, because the gold order guns is such a small part of the game.
Like if I pick up a Garand, carbine, or some bolt action or a grease gun I should be able to resupply that, although I would say for any gun but I understand your reasoning.
Tbh, I think it could also be cool if you could resupply enemy weapons in enemy ammo boxes.
