With the new update, for some reason I cannot use supply boxes, mount machine guns, mount AA, etc.
What controller/binding option is causing the issue?
I have all my buttons/controls custom mapped on my controller, and I don’t want to restore default settings because I don’t know if it’s going to reset my aircraft controls, tank controls, soldier swapping contols, etc.
Hi, on console we don’t seem to be able to reload AT, AA guns and I don’t see that in my binding, I reset my controls and it still didn’t work. I can reload, rotate, repair buildings, but not replenish ammo.
I tried changing my hold square to something else, for rotate building to see if it would remove conflict, it did not, I tried changing repair building command to something different (not vehicle, but other tab) and still didn’t work?
I do think something is up on console, I logged on CBR, I can reload engineer AA AT guns, resetting to default did not work, if you can please ask devs to try on ps5, I think all we need is a new control option added to config (other) so we can specify reload building and resolve any hidden control conflicts.
No that did not work I have a video of me changing that button, vehicle repair to a different option, both fast press, on release, to circle none of that worked, interestingly enough replenish ammunition always stayed hold square (on the tool tips below when hammer out), but as that is a hidden binding it cannot be changed?
@Euthymia07 Could you also please let the developers know that the “progress circle” no longer appears when building things with the engineer. It doesn’t matter what constructable it is, there’s no longer a green circle that shows the progress of the item being constructed.
Its one thing if they were just reporting a bug. HOWEVER, we’ve had this issue pop up in the past and it was because they switched some hierarchy of commands around, leading to us needing to change up our controls.
So rather than it being a bug that gets reported, takes some time to come up with a fix, then tell everyone, these guys were working with a helper to effectively find a solution that they can then use to keep playing for the time they have.
Plus it helps develop a workaround while the devs focus on the main issue.
@Euthymia07 is doing exactly what a “helper” is supposed to do!
Related to this: Go to your Options → Game → Show game mode tips → Turn it on. This option disables it.
@WidowMakerUk73 related to your issue: I checked it, I cannot find a workaround even with changing building repair and removing other keybinds that may conflict, seems like it just doesn’t work for reloading AA/AT, which is strange since building repair works for repairing MG nests…
My guess here is that the keybind is just coded to work with repairing and not refilling
Hi, thank you for you response, yes I did try resetting and various combinations, is this something that you will pass on to devs on my behalf? I am not here to solutionize but perhaps having a specific button mapping so we could chose another button might help?
I have noticed some buttons just don’t like being mapped, R1 will never work if I chose Turret 2 fire as L2 R1 with L2 as modifier. If this could be forwarded, shall I keep my CBR post open or close it?
Why is it that I can destroy ammo boxes while holding a button but tapping the button provides no input to retrieve ammo? Can the you ask the devs to stop changing console control prioritization? We shouldn’t have to change our controls with every update.
Well if you read the OP, I wasn’t posting a bug report. I was asking a question regarding button-mapping, and trying to figure out which control-options are assigned for ammo-resupply, and mounting MG/AA/AT guns.
I didn’t want to reset my controls that are custom-mapped to default settings, on a gamble that the issue would not be fixed. Because it would take probably half an hour restoring all of my setting back to how I had them.
Stop assuming from the top of your pedestal. Maybe you need a time-out too? Just like Conscript Joe.
Why? Because you’re always sticking your nose in the middle of other people’s affairs, when it does not concern you.
And then you have the nerve to personally insult people who are here for legitimate reasons.
Pretty sure you’ve been breaking community rules for awhile now. Esspecially when it comes to harassing and flagging my messages, anytime I share something on the forum. You’re creating dissent by constantly agitating me with nonproductive insults (Even though I’ve asked you more than 20x to stop it)
