Am I the only one who feels like custom games aren’t used often?

Every time I check them, there is one nearly full game, and the rest have 1-3 players in them. Not to mention there are only 10 games available.

I see this then just enter regular matchmaking. Anyone else have this experience?

FYI, I am on North America servers, so maybe it’s ok on others?

It’s a false impression. Found out games fill up quickly. (Yes, people can join while match is underway)
It’s just that most people won’t stay in the lobby if the host takes more than 5 seconds clicking “start”.

It’s in fact a problem for me, I’ve got below lvl 5 friends I’m showing the ropes to by relaxing in custom and there’s always people joining.

It’s scary when someone calls arty on you when you boat race with friends ( yeah… we mess around a lot)

But what I’ve found is that even if a custom match gets full, nobody really play hard and seriously. So it’s still a relaxing place.

SInce I am on the grind road again, I dont touch cl anymore. Heard its basically the last bastion of Lfs and funny guys who are tired of being too serious in normal lobbys.

Really? I’ve been checking over and over again just now and the list hasn’t changed at all.

Maybe I’m just playing at a bad time.

Or casual players don’t even know customs exist.

You mean hardcore game lobbys or all of them?

I wish custom games could have passwords or something. I like to play custom matches to get away from the excessive explosions and chaos.

I does create “wtf” moments. You challenge your pal to a bus race and his bus suddenly explode from a tank shell.

I does add a certain “random” flavour to our fun :sweat_smile:

there is also a core flaw on the design on custom matches lobbies.
you/we cant change gear on a squad, level up soldiers or do what all the main menu stuff we usually do when we finish a match.
you/we cant see the current tasks / accept or recieve prices from them.

making most players leave a custom lobby even if they were having fun to mess around with the squads after a match…

You’re right… it’s pretty annoying to say the least. My friends being starter lvls gain lvls and upgrades EVEN with the xp reduction, so easy it is at low lvl… they need to exit after every match…
