Allow us to queue for Lone Fighter mode

Hey folks!

Just wanted to chip in and let the devs know that I fully enjoyed Enlisted back when we could queue up for Lone Fighter.

The game feels so much different in Lone Fighter. There are no bots mindlessly running around, the tension of playing with one soldier at a time made the players act more tactical rather than running with a squad of bots like mindless chickens.

Playing with one soldier at a time from my point of view is a greater experience than having bots tailing you, and dying randomly because I myself cannot micromanage a whole squad.

Squad mode promotes rushing in with automatics, while in Lone Fighter the player must calculate his moves to make the best outcome.

I myself enjoy playing a sniper and it’s a pain in the ass to snipe with a whole squad tailing me. I mean…seriously…

And for those people that will say: create your own custom game!

People rarely join custom Lone Fighter games. I think there are 1-2 custom games at a time and they are full almost all the time.

As a casual player with not enough time in my hands, I’d like to open the game, queue up for Lone Fighter and tactically play my Sniper or whatever role I’d like to play at that time.

Please, bring back Lone Fighter mode in the lobby and allow us to queue for it.

There were always bots in all modes. You can’t get away from bots in this game, just as you can’t get away from developers who have no idea what they are doing. Apparently that’s what makes this game special, as if being special means anything when that special quality is awful.

Dev put lone fighter in custom match because there is too little people want to play it. Letting it to be queue again you will only get a match with 90% of bots.

I don’t know about that, back when I was playing Lone Fighter from the lobby the game was full of people, not bots.

Playing Squad Mode is still playing with bots, though…bots tailing you and ruining your position, etc.

Exactly, if you give people the choice from the actual main menu, people will choose to play it, but if you hide the game mode it’s just dull to browse for some servers with a good amount of players.

And tbh, I started playing enlisted because of the Lone Fighters, along with my dad, so, I do support this suggestion.

Eh no, LF was scrapped because no one was playing it, and the excess servers space was used for custom games, so even if the devs wanted to, they couldn’t because Custom Games would either need to go which is not going to happen, or they would need more server space, which is also not going to happen, as this game runs off of the extra servers of War Thunder, so them getting more server space is also very unlikely.

The Custom Games were there even when Lone Fighter was in the lobby. That means the Custom Games have no reason to go.

If people enjoy Lone Fighter and they want to play it, that means they should open up the servers. This mode brought so many people to this game (I know at least 5 of them that stopped playing when this mode was removed from the lobby).

I don’t know why people keep telling the same story that there were not enough people playing Lone Fighter… Every time i queued up the teams were full of people and the game felt so much alive.

I even bought the Battle Pass back then because I really enjoyed the game.

Now it feels empty and full of bots.

No they were not in the game at the same time, LF was scrapped and custom games were added as stated in the devblog linked below. It was scrapped because not enough people wanted to play it to make it worth keeping the server up.

Nevertheless, this can be undone.

If today there are a lot of people that want to play Lone Figther via looby, why not add it back?

The majority of the Custom Games are Lone Fighters, so there’s a demand.

Anyway, I’m not here to argue whether or why they removed the mode, or any other similar topic.

So, for the last time:

There are people who want to queue for Lone Fighter via lobby. Many people enjoy this mode and they want it back in the queue system.

If devs choose to ignore these people, they won’t be playing the game anymore.

There are not enough people who wanted to play it, and there still arn’t, that is why the game removed it and that is why it remains removed. The server space is better used for custom games instead of a game mode a only very small minority plays. Even if they get new Servers, they should not add LF back, as there are not enough players to justify wasting that space for dedicated servers for each campaign.
