greetings.
today i come with another suggestion that is quite far from being a priority.
however, one that i deem rather important for mods and … could become useful down the line for when riders II will be a thing.
long story short, diffuse textures allows to change some part of a texture without fully lose the details.
think as of it, photoshop " overrlay " function.
which as an example, currently exist on tanks:
essentially, allowing to change pretty much most tanks base colors / camouflage into something else without losing details.
problem is, and reason why i made this suggestion, it is not possible to do with unarmed / transport
vehicles.
which replacing it’s texture due to not being diffused, it completely replaces the details and will look generally aweful:
hence, it would be great to get a similar textures diffuse system present on tanks, to the following vehicles:
ford_gpa
gaz_67
gmc_353_a
gmc_353_b
nissan_80
opel_blitz_kfz_305
opel_blitz_omnibus
tractor_stz_5
vw_kubelwagen
willys_mb
Why
well, for starter, as explained,
so that
-
saves spaces & easier workflow
( as you will not have to make more than 1 texture for all enivorements. saving space ) -
modders can repaint them using camouflages or other textures without losing the details in the texture
-
lay a foundation in the future for some of these vehicles to be introduced in the base game for riders and customize them
and/or
-
improve map vehicles with the correct paint scheme
-
will generally look better:
etc.
so yeah, that’s all from me.
