Allow tanks to capture objectives

Most ppl will still use tanks from a safe distance but those few brave souls who survived cqc and managed to get to the point should be rewarded and should contribute to the victory.

Also this will make it easier to push objectives in the open under the enemy fire. You know, the thing tanks were designed to do.

Agree. Nearly all squads can have AT soldiers. Every soldier can be equipped by EP and TnT.

So I really don’t see any problem with tank being able to capture objectives.

But I’d probably reduce their effectiveness. And that 2 tankers would be the equivalent of one infatryman. As for their effect on cap.

You know I was gonna disagree with this until I actually thought about it, year this perfect, 100% support it

You do know the KV-1 is only OP in low BR’s because people cant get close to it, once you can get close to it, you can kill it.

good luck with that thinking im gonna sit in my tank while letting someone running around me, im no fool i only go near the point once it clear

To be honest how much map are cluttered if a tank miraculously can reach the cap alive or without get stuck, my homage to the driver and let him cap the point, he deserves it

Then your infantry will capture the objective, even if you can’t cap.

well that the point i go near it to provide cover while they cap

you know like when infantry should move behind the tank so they dont die (too bad i dont see many people do this tbh)

Most of the time such tank dies faster than the infantry it protects. I tried it a few times, not worth the time.

yea true that why i thought having some sort of point for protecting tank would be good but i remember it being call “irrelevant” when i suggest it before.

To be fair Is still hard decide how give point for protect a tank, kill someone who damaged it? Kill infantry nearby? Stay near him and passive getting score? Etc… whatever system you use it need be exploit proof otherwise it need be removed, this mean making a good suggestion on the theme is even more Harder, if you don’t know exactly how do it, how others can understand it?

i mean you could just do a “if you kill enemy within 3m of the tank you get 20 point” could work for me

that makes sense.
to balance it (as on low BR new players with badly equipped squads would get stomped too hard by capping tanks) the capture time of tanks could be reduced by 25-33%.

this change with tanks letting cap needs to enter the game ASAP, as games will be much more fun and dynamic.

Well, to be fair 3m from it is basically looking the enemy infantry do one more step and kiss it… I would say if the task is protect it, is failed already

ok so now the meta will be spam Kamikaze Apcs to the point and cap it as fast you can (btw same applies to tanks by spamming some like the puma…

In more easy words to understand… No… im pretty sure thast if that mechanic is used correctly you can literally make things worse

Personally I’d passively give a bit of exp every X seconds and give flat +Y% bonus to exp gain for all infantry within Z meters from the tank.
(With some caps most likely.)
