Yeah, a sniper shouldn’t be forced to use strictly a sniper rifle. On all my sniper squads I change my ammo pouch to secondary weapons. This works excellent in level five, especially German where I use an FG42 II sniper rifle and a scopeless Stg 44 as an assault rifle, so I have an assault squad that can also snipe. However, it would be nice if we did not have to strictly use another sniper rifle. If I do this in level three Germans I am forced to use two bolt action rifles as they don’t have a level three semi auto sniper rifle, unless you bought the G41 Premium sniper squad, which I did, but I use it at level five with Stg44’s as the secondary weapon.
yes they should be, there a long range killer sniper rifle and pistol, they should not be the master of all ranges

Brits have Lee Enfield at BR3 - Germany could also get a crazy good boltaction instead of a semi auto…

G41 with 4x scope is the answer. Bolt action rifles are shit for BR III upwards
Me when I dont wanna spend 1500 silver for assaulter
no snipers get scoped rifles and a pistol, if soldiers could not carry two main weapons thus a scoped rifle and a non scoped rifle fine but letting them use both is to strong,
maybe if they had to carry a rifle one category below

no rifle
semi auto sniper
bolt action rifle
full auto sniper
semi auto rifle
but a full auto rifle and full auto sniper just no
otherwise riflemen will demand to be able to carry a sniper rifle with there rifle.
I dont know, I personally think BR3 Lee Enfield Sniper is far more powerful than my G41 Sniper gold squad. - both have 10 round mags, Lee Enfield is much more accurate, Lee Enfield deals much higher damage, Lee Enfield Sniper actually has a magazine reload and thus reloads much much faster than G41 Sniper that uses 2 x 5 round clips to reload.

Well, that’s something the German faction can do now in BR5. They also have the ability to use assault rifles.

I hate having to shoot an enemy twice. I generally use bolt action snipers in BR5 as well.
But to shut people up, Germany needs a semi-automatic sniper in BR3.

I find the semi auto sniper comes into its own against large groupings, downing the entire squad but not killing them tends to have a better result than two shotting all your targets. Especially if there are friendlies nearby to finish them off.

At close range they are somewhat effective, but at long range you just see those damn white marks.
Given that I prefer scopeless weapons at close range, they are useless to me. Everyone has their own playstyle anyway.

I mean, I just use the alt scope that most snipers have at close range. At long range yeah it can be an issue, but you so rarely get a chance to do long range play and not just have your dog shit team instantly collapse, genuinely this game would be so much more fun with team balancing, like try place people with similar stats against one another.
Was about to go off on a rant, but you get my point on it, even when you do get the rare chance to do long range play, its rarely worth doing even if its really fun. Semi autos are godlike at medium range and closer imo.

I understand you, if you let those one month old monkeys go for a moment, the point will fall. So I rarely use snipers. But they still work well in Moscow and the Pacific.

Not a bad idea but you can use the normal iron sight if yuo dont want use the scope because the enemy is too close.
I have on R2 the iron sight aiming and R1 for the Zoomed ADS so with R1 i use scope
If you are on PS5 but if not than idk but for other console players will might usefull…
