pretty much every rifle fitted with a grenade launcher could still fire normal rounds - but they cannot in Enlisted.
this should be changed so they do still shoot - albeit some would not be able to use their sights so would only be useful at short range!
The exception is the M1 Garand - but it doesn’t get a grenade launcher in the game anyway!
But if the M7 grenade launcher for the Garand does get into the game then it can be in 2 versions - the M7 that turns it into a single shot rifle, and the M7A1 that allows it to continue to function as a SLR.
M1 Carbine did not have a problem shooting with the launcher fitted either.

But actually rifles were loaded with special propelling rounds before shooting rifle grenades. Yes, they could fire normal rounds but that would require loading in normal rounds again.

Well yes… but so what? Loading the special cartridge is presumably part of loading the round - although it isn’t shown.
In some cases the normal rounds could be still in the rifle’s magazine.

Yes, then maybe they could do it, because there’s already small innacuracy in rifle grenade usage in this game, anyway, so maybe at least catter for better gameplay, u know.
Would be more handy to take down enemies in CQC who appear out of nowhere, right now i carry pistol for those situations, as reloading annimations are slow.
I would prefer that they could do it 100% historically correct(reloading magazine before shooting rifle grenades). Actually it’s already 50% correct now. If you mount grenade launcher when rifle mag is not fully loaded, player first loads a couple of rounds in mag before loading in grenade.
(I’ll base my arguments on the german RGL because I have only that one. I hope US and SU have similar system.)
Problem is when you want to reload. You have your device mounted, fire 4 rounds, pres “R” and? You should reload rounds or grenade?
Button to switch fire mode can be used to solve this, but then how would you implement indirect fire?
The other option is to allow firing normal rounds but not allowing to reload them, but this is not logical.
At the moment it already reloads bullets when you have the device fitted and press R!!

I had it once, maybe twice. (I have to check what causes it.)
But other than that it works normal.
You can find it in the folder believe it’s would be introduced in some 30+ campaign level
they definetly should do something about the grenade launcher rifles, its a BAD weapon, can´t belive its unlocked so late aswell, probably the worst main weapon in the game.
It’s situational. Enemies have to be quite close to eachother to make it worth.
Once I had a nice killspree, 3 rifle grenades killing 3-4 enemies each. Also, it’s very satisfactional to lob a grenade in the face of a sniper, kill him and 1-2 of the other guys sitting in the same room.
It’s one of my favourite weapons.
its very situational, very slow set up, useless in close combat, and cant even shoot normal bullets, terrible weapon. used it 2 times and had enough. satisfactional must be when you kill a pack but its aswell very frustrating
The weapon itself is great. But because of fast paced CQC gameplay, it’s hard to find situation to use it.
I hate that game is focused on fast CQC, it’s very limiting.
Good for lobbing into doors, windows and bunkers from 30-50m away.
If you are caught in close combat with it hen you’ve screwed up somewhere.
