Allow premium/event squads with special vehicles/weapons to switch them out

So I perfectly understand why players shouldn’t be allowed to put premium weapons in tech tree squads, but one thing I don’t get is why you can’t switch out the premium weapon/vehicle for a tech tree one.

Reasons:

  • Although premium weapons typically tend to be better than tech tree weapons, premium weapons are balanced with a small squad size. Switching them out would technically make the squad worse than the tech tree squads. Therefore, being able to switch out these weapons wouldn’t make them overpowered.

  • Allows for the premium squads to be more useful across all BRs. One reason why I only have 2 premium squads (M3A1 and SdKfz251) is because premium squads are generally pricey, so I only buy them on discount. Another reason why I have these squads is because you can switch out the weapon, which is probably the biggest reason why I have them. This makes the squad more useful up to BR5 even though it is a BR2 squad. This means that consumers will be able to get the premium squad for what it’s worth and possibly be more tempted to play more BRs that are outside of their premium squads BR

  • Encourages buying premium squads since you can keep using your BR1 premium squad of choice in BR5 without being overwhelmed, or be able to use your BR5 squad in BR1. This means Enlisted devs can make more money - both sides win

  • Would also address the problem how you can’t equip the BR3 Shermans in an American squad (British squad instead), and many more problems that involve not having the faction you want for your tanks or planes.

  • Can make cool historically accurate combos like M1 Garands in paratrooper squads, or PPSh41s instead of some prototype SMG

TLDR; Let players switch out weapons and vehicles in premium and event squads as it gives more freedom/personalization

Would personally have no issue with giving TT squads premium weapons from premium squads. Same can be said about event squads and weapons.

It is odd how squads that cost real money are often the most limited.

Because the official wants to reduce the possibility of paying players using paid equipment to massacre idiots
So most squads are closer to collectibles than practical
That’s why you’ll find that most of the premium options in this game are expensive and perform poorly.

I consider this a good idea, and have commented about being able to change out premium squad weapons. I like the premium squad weapons, but sometimes you just want the squad, not so much the weapons that go with the squad and by making them replaceable you can use that squad at any level. Example, the event we played a few months back where you got radioman squads. I love the US Johnson 1941 squads, but I replaced all the Johnsons with T20’s since it is going to end up in a level 5 match anyway. I wish they would make the level 5 US paratrooper squad’s weapons changeable so I could use it in 1-2 matches, or use them in level 3-4 if they would stop allowing level 3 allies to be warped up to level 5. People pay for the premium squads and I think for no other reason that should be enough reason to make their weapons changeable.
