Allow players to choose a "most-preferred" and a "least-preferred" game mode, and matchmake accordingly

A player (or group host if playing in a group) should be able to choose a “most-preferred” and a “least-preferred” game mode in their options tab.

  • The “least-preferred” game mode will try to sort out games of that type and not matchmake the player(s) into it, even if it increases the load time a little bit.

  • The “most-preferred” game mode will attempt to sort out games of that type and queue the player(s) there if the wait time isn’t too long.

This way if players have a game-mode that they absolutely cannot stand (some of the fellow forum members have expressed they quite dislike the train mode, and I myself hate Conquest), the likelihood of being put into those games will significantly decrease, while still leaving it in the game for others that may enjoy that mode. Plus, it will reduce the amount of players that quit out of a game, just because its a mode they don’t like. In addition, it will increase the chance of getting into one that you do like.

War thunder has a similar case but instead of game mode it is more for the map, in which you may choose your preferred maps and ban those you do not like; although, I believe it is just a premium thing(?) correct me if I’m wrong, been a while since I last played War Thunder.

Nope f2p can do it as well, but is pretty usless because for

  • ground forces withaut a squad you get fucked as always you play in Ireland or berlin
  • in air forces the gameplay is the same only the scenary change
  • navy same as airforce

Ohh I see, thank you for the enlightenment. Yeah, I can see that happening, always hated the berlin map especially when using top tier. Even if the same applies for Enlisted, with its current abysmal player base, the queue time will be longer or you’ll just get matched up as a 2v2 real players and the rest are just bots. Although, you get the game mode and map you may have wanted, the real player count is close to 0 and queue time would be longer…

Hopefully in the future there would be more players coming in once the game is polished and out of beta. As of now, the game with its ai troops and players are a bit wonky and snaps shot you from a wall or from a mile away, but they are also remotely notorious as they can be somewhat stupid too (getting out of cover or climbing on top of trenches where enemy gun fire is present.)

If all of the issues are done and dusted (press x to doubt) then I guess the implementation from the op would be a great addition.

i mean this game balances this by forcing a max cap on armor and air units which is a good thing as you need ground forces to win
