Agreed.
In fact rather than adding various weird experimental vehicles/guns, I’d like to see it balanced in an unsymmetrical way, something like bayonet charging with damage reduction in RS.

Arguably there is a reason! Japan was famous for this during the war.

True, but I think it would be too cool a feature to limit to just Japan. For example, you could bayonet charge up the beach on DDay or across the frozen river on Fortified district.
