Allow Engineers to Use Resources to Repair Small Vehicles

Let’s be real; damaged Jeeps, Kubelwagens, and trucks never get used after they get damaged. It is realistically not worth carrying repair kits on infantry squads unless you are squadded up. It would great if engineers could repair these vehicles using their magical resources. It is not a buff in any way, you are using your resources to repair a vehicle that you will drive once, instead of building rally points or ammo crates. I would make the cost around 2 per module on these small vehicles. It is simply a quality of life change.

I feel like there would be more reason to go “backpack and medkit+toolbox” setups for normal infantry, if the vehicles were more common. They mostly exist on the newer maps. If they were sprinkled on every map I’d totally bring some toolkits for the memes.

So yeah, my suggestion is more vehicles on the maps to make repairs more viable.

i disagree. You can get tons of xp by repairing friendly tanks on the battlefield. You will get 55xp per repair

Maybe if you carry backpacks it can be worth carrying a few toolkits, but grenade and ammo pouches are almost always more useful. And I would rather have 1 medkit than 1 toolkit if I only had one slot. As realistically, you are more likely to get hit by a low caliber round or explosion, than repair a tank. Which are often sitting back in their gray zone anyway. If you are correct about the experience being 55 xp then that’s pretty good, but not as effective as getting kills and capturing zones. Anyhow, my proposed change only affects small passenger vehicles and doesn’t affect balance. It’s more of a QoL change.
